Does this mean you would happily have Muntari and Mensah back then Bizarre to keep Gyan happy? I cant see any other Ghana players that we could or should look at? Personally I wouldn't have Muntari back if he was paying us for the privilege and although I loved to see a 'fit Mensah' in our line up, the 2 words very rarely came together to our benefit.

If Gyan is making eyes towards a move to London then I'll accept it if we cash in and bring in the likes of Rodallega and Pav. Its no use trying to make a player stay if he isn't up to the task. Its the most frustrating thing about modern footballers. They always get what they want.

To be quite honest a lot of the moaning has come from us not going for this player or that player, I have seen people saying we should not moan until the end of August and wait to see who Bruce brings in? Surely it does not matter who he brings in, it matters if results go our way and we play good football? So he should be judged at least a few months into the season. Let's face it most of us were very negative about bramble and Welbeck who turned out to be 2 of our best players, we were all excited about Muntari and Riveros and they both turned out to be very average.

We finished 10th this season even with the worst injury crisis I have seen in the clubs history.

I was not happy about Brucies appointment but he has delivered so far, I think he will carry on getting some good signings at the right price for us, some we will like, some we won't. Like any human he will make mistakes but I can see us progressing under him. IMO he is the best Sunderland manager for many years and I think given the time he will surpass what Reid achieved and take us to our first silverware for years and into Europe.

It's not going to happen over night but it will happen.

    Totally agree vegas!

Pantsill comes to mind, he's his best mate and a decent player and I'm sure Gyan has more mates than just other Ghana players, i don't know the Ghana team very well but I'm sure there is more than Muntari and Mensah who could do a job for us.
I like African players, big strong lads and have a bit of skill, African teams will become the dominant force in world football over the next 15-20 years, I have no doubt about that.

I have my doubts about African players and nations and I don't think an African nation will win the world cup in the next 50 years. Individually they are technically and physically good enough but as a team they seem to lack what is required despite having some top coaches over the years. I think an Asian team is more likely to emerge in the future as they have a huge 'team ethic' and a lot of money. Maybe Korea or Japan or even China. If they put their money and minds to it with 1.5bn people to choose from, it would be interesting.

When I move jobs, I don't expect the company I work for to hire my mates as well so why should we accommodate a player who we are rewarding handsomely for his efforts anyway? Gyan either stays because he wants to, or we flog him for as much as we can get to someone who he does want to play for.

Nigeria and more recently Ghana, have both fielded teams capable of winning the World Cup.

AFRICA will overtake the developed world at football simply because there kids are doing what we did as kids before tv computers ect. They go out and entertain themselves with a football

2nd positive post today from Cest. Whats up? Have aliens abducted him, has he put a Doris Stokes head on and seen our positive future. Preferred his miserable but sensible, controlled rantings.

No this is the real me. The one that had me and you at each others throats was not a very clever mate. For that I do offer a hand of friendship if you want it.

We should have both been shot with **** for that little episode.
