I usually dont like the summer without the WC or Euros.

Its all Cricket,tennis and that ****.

Thank **** for Festivals.Off to the Isle of Wight next week.Anyone been and is it as good as Glastonbury ?
 
Never been to either. Never really fancied festivals. Prefer gigs in small venues where you can see the whites of the singer/band's eyes. Much better atmosphere - usually.

Plus the line up for IoW sounds ****ing awful. Kaiser Chiefs, Kings of Leon, Kasabian, Pink. Pink for ****s' sake!
 
Pink <yikes> who let that fat cow in ?

I go mainly for the fanny and the drugs.The line up is way down my list.
 
I don't do festivals in the UK, way too overpriced and busy.

Europe is the place to be, **** being rained on at a festival you pay £200 for

I missed that year as the mother in law was terminally ill.

Glastonbury is well handy for me as im in Bristol but i know what you mean the weather is key.

There is one in Valencia i have heard is brilliant.
 
I grew up in France so usually go back there. A ticket for a 3-4 day festival is usually &#8364;50-&#8364;80 euros, with free campsite and cheap food/drinks on site. Loads of my mates go to Serbia too, they always sound pretty good. Portugal has a couple but they're trance raves, no comment.
 
Sounds pretty decent.The only worry I have about IOW is they kick you out after the bands finish.Back to your tent,at least you can wander about Glastonbury all night if you want out your tree.

Everything I heard about the IOW festival sounds pretty ****...

Police searches when you get in: Not for me

Ferry that takes ages to get there and back: **** waiting for hours when you want to get back

****ty Weather: No chance I'm going somewhere to get rained on

Also most people there are teenagers

Was down working in Bristol all last week week ...

St Nicholas marker for scran is top notch!

Some no bad boozers as well down by the Harbour!
