Hate it when managers say they've had no enquiries for their players. All it does is remind other clubs that they've forgotten.
As you say, Saints continually said this. Brendan Rodgers' day must have been something like, 'Pick up dry cleaning - tick. Washed the dog - tick. Booked Luis' dentist appointment - tick. Sure there was something else - <picks up newspaper> - Ah, that's it - completely and utterly obliterate* the spine of Southampton's first team'.

He was never going to stay there another season. Liverpool have already started spending his fee like Spurs did last year with Bale's money. It's been a done deal for a while now.
