Pelle, Austin and Long would be my guess.

May have been a silly question to you.seems a pretty valid question to me .....
Pelle, Austin and Long would be my guess.
Id be surprised if we didn't get an advanced attack mid who could play off the front, alas Mane type, not sure we will go for an out an out forward unless
a. PELLE goes
b. CP has serious Qs over CA and/or JR
Found another source saying we are after him, but he's not keen.https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=fr&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Southampton-claude-puel-pas-chaud-pour-sofiane-boufal/703908&edit-text=
L'equipe says that a long-term target of ours Sofiane Boufal has been vetoed by Puel.

Definitely will have a CAM on the list. Juanmi needs replacing, even though he didn't play, we bought him for a reason.
I understand what you are saying. That is what our board aim to do. But in practise it isn't as simple as that. The way football is these days EVERY player has their price. Of course our board wouldn't want to sell Van Dijk, but should the right money come in for him then we would. I have no doubt that if barca were interested and offered £60m then he would be sold. Perhaps even for £50m.What we actually do is have a strategy were we are willing to let a few players leave in a season if their price is met. We also have players we are not willing to sell for anything, Dijk is one of those plays for this season. Then next season we will look at it again and decide. That is how it works, not simply any one will go if a big bid comes in.
Did you see the big smile? It was humour..![]()
my bad.didint notice that
Good point, forgot about him (easily done).
Q is , at what level are we looking to replace with, young and hungry, experienced etc...
Not sure what people want, we are not like West Ham who feel obliged to make all their bids public.

This is what I'm saying. Without a doubt we do not want to sell Van Dijk. But with the ridiculous money in football these days every player has a price. We would try to resist any sale of VVD and would be able to out price the majority of clubs because of his new contract but he still has a price.I think the new contract offered to VVD shows our intent and his enjoyment of playing for Saints. It also guarantees that he has been priced out of the market...unless the would be purchasers are complete idiots/Liverpool.
Every club and every player, that is my point. I am not complaining about that being the case, but some people don't seem to accept that unless you are Madrid or Barca (even most of their players have a price) that you will sell if enough is offered. That goes for every club, anywhere.
