It is also believed that Liverpool, Newcastle United and Scottish giants Celtic are monitoring the situation. A bidding war may be set to ensue with QPR showing their hand first with a £5 million for the 24 year old. The R’s will face fierce competition with Swansea City, Leicester City, Sunderland, West Ham United, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Celtic all reportedly keen to snare Sigthorsson. It is understood that Ajax are believed to be wanting £10 million for the forward. Whilst Leicester City are reportedly chasing the Icelandic international it is believed that he is not first choice, with Brighton and Hove Albion forward Leonardo Ulloa and Sunderland forward Connor Wickham both priorities as it stands.
