Apologies, I've not read all the replies. With the big tv money coming in, we can hold out for better deals. Use the money wisely in the required areas. I've long thought that Redmond, Brady and Howson would want to go. If Klose is out for longer, hopefully he'll slip under the radar and could play on until the January window at least.
Then there's the ones who 'should' go. Bassong, Martin, Whittaker, Mulumbu and Dorrans for example. Is Hoolahan too old for next season?
Many of the same players have failed again. They'll be older next season which could outweigh their experience. Playing too many youngsters could upset the balance. Would the current crop out on loan be any better next season? Getting the mix right will be a challenge.
Sadly, I fear a long stint back in the Championship. We don't have a right to come back. Remember the arrogance of 1995 and 'on loan to the Endsleigh'? It'll be tougher with Villa and probably Newcastle in it too, unlike with Cardiff and Fulham last time.
Excellent post canarian and I think most on here would agree with your choice of those who should go - I'm sure it was just an oversight, but I'd add RvW to your list.
Yes, it is going to be a tricky 'balancing act' brining in our loanees and will Maddison live up to his promise, or will he go the same way as RvW???? Lots of unanswered questions and of course the MOST important one is - who will be our manager when we kick off next season????
Thanks for your concern Dave, but I didn't hurt myself and I'm sure we'll always be grateful to DM for rescuing the club etc - it's going to be an interesting close season with some major changes afoot.

it's far too soon to start casting aspersions and speculating about the club going backwards
