I do think he said a tiny bit too much. But it was 95% positive. Hes got a lot to prove over the next 4 months. Edit: Howe, not chaos.
"I'd like to thank the fans that gave us their unwavering support both home and away last season, the season before and since I've been here. They create a special environment which makes the players want to do something special for them, what we want, is to reward these fans with a trophy. Except those pissflaps on not 606 matchday threads" Or words to that effect
"It is an unbelievable football club. I’m very, very proud to be the manager," said Howe, who was speaking to BBC Radio Newcastle from the Magpies' training camp in Germany. "I love the supporters, I love the players, I love the staff. So really, there has been no thought in my mind on anything else and I have been very committed to the job here. "For me, as long as I am happy and feel supported and feel free to do the work that I love to do at Newcastle, I’ll be very happy - and I am very happy." "I’m absolutely honoured and privileged to be manager of Newcastle United. I hope that is for many, many years," Howe added. "My commitment is unwavering. I am determined to win a trophy for the football club - that is in my psyche every day. I want to see joy in the supporters. I want to bring that to them, hopefully." Bully!!!!
You missed out the part when he says “so to the new guys coming in don’t **** with my ****. Because if you do I’m taking the England job. Under the previous soft bastards I could do what the **** I want so leave me alone”.
Clever lad GG I'm pleased some of us deciphered the message he was sending. Perhaps the entire fanbase shouldn't have bullied previous managers and I might hold an ounce of remorse.
It’s almost word for word. I don’t know what you’re missing. In fact you’re quite right. I missed the part where he quoted mad dog and something about white teeth.
It’s true. Thats paraphrasing but it’s basically what he said. Howe is clever. He did a Rafa. He quotes the city the fans the players. He loves them all. But the management. He didn’t say the same for them. He basically said leave me to do my thing and don’t interfere. Fair play but I think he’s poked a fire potentially.
My take on it is him leaving for England is probably best case scenario. He leaves on good terms with the fans best wishes. He looks good, club looks good. We move onto next level with Pochetino currently available
