Its just the €30m fee that I dont believe, which means we replace Phillips with a player who costs almost the same as we sold Phillips for. Seems bad business to me. 25 max?

I'd say he is from the clips I've seen. He has the one thing that Phillips lacks which is pace, especially over 5 yards. Camara looks the better player than Adams. If true, I have a feeling that Camara might just be the best signing we have made so far.
It's certainly turning into a quite unbelievable window. Raphinha's transfer still to sort out but I'd love it if he stays for another season.
From the clips I’ve seen, camara does play like kante and is happy to put a foot in and get a bit physical… Adams is really quick but looks a bit more lightweight.

Seems a bit of an ego though… basking in his ‘first to release’ the news status. I tend to keep an eye on fab Romano. He doesn’t worry about always being first… but checks his sources so if you hear it from him, it’s normally legit. He’s been quiet on Adams and camara. That said Camara to Leeds is on back page of Austria’s main newspaper so hopefully they’ve checked their source… and re price they’re saying it’s a record deal for Salzburg which means more than Aaronson.
I know, I know.... My only disclaimer is my opinion is purely based on a couple of youtube clips totalling 20 minutes. I'm off the fence, Camara will be the best signing we have made. Kristensen will be a fan favourite. I'm more concerned with Aaronson and Roca competing physically in the PL. We'll have to wait and see.
camara will be good Aaronson will be good kristenson solid but unspectacular it’s roca I have concerns about. Just re the pace and physicality not suiting his game there you have my extensive analysis after watching 5 minutes of YouTube of each. Actually I’ve seen a bit more than that of aaronson.. I think he’ll frustrate a bit by giving the ball away but make up for it with Duracell bunny work ethic. one thing we will have with aaronson, camara and/Or/adams is a bit more pace in the side. Kristenson not slow either and loves to bomb forward.
I've completely written De Ketelaere off on a 4 minute youtube video too. He'll probably turn in to the next Bergkamp but I wasn't impressed by his YouTube highlights. I actually watched Firpo in la liga for Betis (on the telly) and he looked a monster of a left back over a handful of games I saw. I was chuffed when we bought him as I remembered him running over people in Spain. Think I overrated the depth of Spanish football.
Like you I got the hornfor Firpo from watching the same videos. I got really convinced when Firpo got picked as a RB for Barcelona in the CL against PSG. He was played up against Mbappe and not once did the speedster frog get past him. He got MoM for that performance
So Romeo Lavia, the highly rated Man City midfielder we were supposedly after as part of the Phillips deal has gone to Southampton for £10m. Did we prefer nyabi or was he second choice @ half price?
Good points, so do we give him another chance? Last season the team was never settled, all the injuries batflu bollox etc.
Problem with Firpo last year was that he had covid (twice?), suffered a few minor injuries, moved to a new country, struggled with the language, hadn't played much football at Barca, got a concussion but more importantly than any of this is the fact he is a terrible footballer not fit to wear the shirt.
