because we have the one and only junior firpo, ready to take the premier league by storm after an injury ravaged first season
The transfer prices for average prem players is a joke, no wonder we go abroad for players. Jack Harrison £30m was quoted to Newcastle Calvert-Lewin £60m, Richarliason £60m, Ivan Toney £50m what a load of bollox, and our top spend has been £27m for Rodrigo. Going to be fun watching this next few weeks, madness
17 million costa. 5 million douglas.. 3 million roberts.. Firpo 18 million. Now those figures are really crazy.. Plus how much for the clown?. All those loan fees for harrison reportedly adding up to 20 million. 61 million for what? Then add on rodrigo and now can anyone justify those figures. No wonder we hardly spent last summer as orta wasted all that money we were skint. How much have we made developing u23s i bet it cost more to buy and pay their wages. Making a profit by bringing u23s on my arrsse.
Agreed with you. When you think Villa signed Dion Dublin from Coventry for £5 million and he's probably the same level as Toney.
Well it seems Citeh fans don't want Phillips, on the whole don't rate him, consensus being worth a squad player at £20-25m but certainly not a starter for £60m.
fickle glory hunting cnuts. Who care's what they think. Even Pep has no respect for them. Bet they all salivated over him after the croatia game in the Euro's or when he rampaged through tackle after tackle and block after block when we won at their's with 10 men. They could do with some yorkshire grit when their team is sh*tting itself and choking another big match. now of course they could be right on this occasion... but fck their worthless opinion
I watched him in the England u21s the other night. From what i saw he is nowhere near first team ready. So it makes sense to try him at that level and see if he does well.
Team talk has said that we are 'stepping up' interest in Adams Traore of Wolves. Another name doing the rounds is Rabbi Motando of Schalke 04
Supposedly we're interested in Man City youngster Romeo Lavia but will have to compete with Southampton for his signature. If true we can use this to our advantage in the Phillips deal.
Indy Sport has said we've made a bid for Arnaud Kalimuendo of PSG but he's been on loan at RC Lens. Also Orta is supposedly on his way to Belgium
Kalimuendo has been at PSG since 2004 and for the last 2 seasons has been on loan to Lens where he's done a good job, especially this last season where he's played all season and scored 16 goals. This kid was mentioned last summer, so could be something in it now that Pochetino is gone. My problem is that he is only a few months older than Gelhardt and pretty much the same age as Greenwood, but obviously this kid was given a chance to play French prem football for a couple of seasons.
Traore? Why? We have our own mini-me version in James - i.e. fast af in a straight line, but can't shoot, head, pass or cross. No thanks.
