Arsenal now join the Raphinha fan club according to Romano. So Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle in this country alone. Not many clubs can afford him and if Liverpool do the Darwin Nunez deal, thats their budget blown…
Just regarding budget blown and not aimed at you but picking up on a point…. Liverpool PL established, European cup finalist, cup finalist, years in the PL and miles ahead of us. It can be accepted that they can blow their budget on one player at £80m yet we spend £150m in two seasons and it wasn’t enough for some and Radz gets slated… Just saying
I very much doubt he'll sign for Arsenal. He's turned down Liverpool in the last 7 days. I reckon if he goes anywhere in Britain it will be Chelsea
So Man City have had Fernandino for a few years, but he decides he doesnt want a new deal and wants to run his contract down and leave on a free. City then have to spend £60m to replace the player. Rudiger and a few more leave Chelsea on a free which means they will have to pay well over £120m to replace these players. Mane decides he wants to leave Liverpool on a free and it costs Liverpool £80m to replace him. . Something isnt quite right is it? These clubs have been paying top wages to employ these players who seem to have everything in their favour and the employer has no rights….
That's modern football. Of your contract runs out and you want to leave why should they be stopped? End of the day you've filled your obligations. Where's the player rights when they get sold because the new manager doesn't want them or the club has to balance the books. Both clubs and players should they aren't in the NBA where the Governing body owns the contracts and can only ratify the transfers
I hope it's not might. I hope he is. got nowt against the fella he's done us proud since Bielsa brought him back from the brink of leaving a few season's ago but he's now lost that yard which has made him struggle this season it's made him fall behind play and tends to foul a lot more to try to get that yard back. Sadly that yard will never come back. Age is catching up and if we have hopes of improving the side he is deffo for me one of the players who we have to move on to improve on our Premier League building process.
I think it's time for him to move on. That's because of his age. He's 32 next month and it seems like we're building a young squad.
Translation The English will pay 12 million fixed euros plus two variables. Roca will sign for four seasons. The official announcement of the transfer is expected by the end of this week.
I thought it was weird but there's a few outlets reporting it now supposedly he can play LB as well as RB
we were linked with aina recently too… right back that can play left back. It’s possible we want a dual sided fullback as cover but I wonder if these were just players we had on our radar whilst looking for a right back and they’re just surfacing after the event.
