Phillips hasn't really played under Marsch whilst fully fit yet. Just give him time.

One thing Phillips does is slow it down. He keeps possession. The rest are all panicking in possession. The whole team just need to calm down a bit and pass the ball.

It's a great move for him if Man City come in for him. They are arguably the best team in Europe. He will get paid a fortune (and so will we). Fair enough.

If we keep him, he will be our best midfield player by far.

can’t be much of a coach bielsa if players forget all they’ve learnt as soon as he’s gone

It seems to me that we're trying to get some serious recruiting done before we receive the big bucks for Kalvin & Raphinha. Villa did similar last summer before cashing in on Grealish for £100M and you can certainly see the logic in doing things that way around.

Kalvin to Man City makes perfect sense for all involved and I've no doubt he'd be a brilliant signing for them.

it looks that way… keep the prices down. Alternatively there may be a ‘show raph/kp we mean business’… so maybe they stay. Think the former is more likely than the latter… we’ll know when we start buying wingers/dm.

Pep already had a look at his guy in New York Valentin Castellanos and decided no, he would spend a chunk on Alfies lad. So if we do indeed buy this kid then you could say hes a confident lad. Just watched him on the you tuber and he likes to do the odd Panenka, the odd Rabona, got a great technique, power, skillset but will he get time to entertain in the prem? Looks a good option either with Bamford or as backup

Almost a goal every other game 43% strike rate and this season so far has scored 11 in 17 games

We might not get much for Rodrigo, but even with a free, we'd save £10m wages on the remaining 2 years of his contract. Why are we waiting ..... ?

I've had a feeling for some time that Rodrigo is divisive in the dressing room. It's his body language and they way that he trudged off like it's everybody else's fault when he is subbed. I'd happily cancel his contract and fly him back home. He's not worth the hassle.

Don't like Castellanos. Done a little research and he is a flair player. Likes his flicks and backheels too much. At the risk of sounding like an old codger I'd rather have a centre forward who can stick his elbows out bring the ball down and allow others to play off him. I don't need another ****er wanting to rabona the ****ing thing in to touch. Infuriates me no end when a simple lay off is what is required.

Identical thoughts to you mate. I’m convinced Rodrigo was one of those knocking on the coaches door and complaining, another was Llorente. Bottom line is he isn’t good enough and he absorbs our budget so he needs to go.

Castellanos I’m not convinced on this one. Either we haven’t much cash and this is our spending limit left once other targets are secured or we are being foolish and Orta is going into scattergun mode.

I’m desperate for us to sign a quality player who is already settled in the UK and has Premier League experience. I’m fearful we’re going to sign a bunch of Rodrigo and Firpos

We’re being firmly linked with Kai Wagner, 25 year old German currently playing for Philadelphia in the MLS. Been there since 2019 and the highest level he’s played at is the German 3rd tier.
