Yeah Ben Foster would be good shout as a number 2 or 3. He could be like Carson at City. Foster must be getting on a bit now.

Meaning he's getting on a bit...not got much game playing time.left.

    Watford got relegated this year.

Anyways he wants to be Ramsdale:s understudy at Arsenal

After much thought and deliberation since the season ended I've reached the conclusion we should sell Phillips this summer. The only provisos being that we receive in excess of £50M and the entire amount is reinvested in the squad this transfer window.

It absolutely pains me to say it but I think it will be better for the team and the club in the long run.

We are reported to be signing two players for around 30 million. If Rapha wants to leave then let him go too. The money can be used to build a more balanced squad and no more square peggers. Clear out the old guard too it is time move them on.

I’m looking forward to seeing how he performs for England tonight. He finally got back to form for our last two games but I’m not convinced he is going to fit into a Jesse team

Over hyped to me is Kalvin owes his success to Bielsa.

I agree if players want out let them go we have to follow the side before self motto but they have to go at our prices. The old guard are now on the brink some are past that I'd be very disappointed if Forshaw,Klich,Firpo are still here fighting for 1st team football next season Forshaw is never fit and falls short of Prem standard anyways we can't carry players. Klich Age has caught up with him and Firpo is not good enough. On Rapha and Phillips I'm expecting at least one will go. Deco will turn Rapha's head for sure if he already hasn't. Lots of work to do and what if's to solve.

Doesn’t every player owe there success to a coach or two?

Rodrigo and James, KP is still head and shoulders above those two, it’s okay saying get £50m for him but sign another two players who disappoint like those two and we’re screwed.

I’m not convinced KP is the same player we’re used to seeing when placed in a Jesse team but I’d pick him every day of the week ahead of Klich, Roberts, Shackleton, Rodrigo, Harrison, Jame and Forshaw.

I’ve no idea if the new guy will be any good either, it’s a gamble

Phillips was an average midfielder, became almost world class under Bielsa.

    Now back to average.

Average is still one or two levels above 50% of our team mate, I don’t disagree with you though, it depends on budget and scouting.

Phillips at average or the Rodrigo, Firpo and James waste of money?

If we can raise money moving on the Roberts, Firpo, Rodrigo and even James type players and keep KP then that’s a better option

If one of Phillips or Raphinha had to go, and their transfer value was the same, I’d rather we sold Phillips tbh.

Ideally keep both till after the World Cup and keep adding quality to what we already have.

Get rid of the obvious dross.

The only one of those we could make money on is Roberts. Rodrigo would cost us money to move on as would firpo. James is just a fast kid with no ability in front of goal.

We’d save on wages, Rodrigo is on what £80k a week minimum? If we got £10m for Roberts, £8m for Firpo, £10m for Rodrigo and £20m for James they’re losses but still over £50m it would pay the the guy we’ve already signed, the new RB we look like getting and change left

Like it or hate it, but Raphinha and Phillips may well be gone within weeks. We have a valuation of between £100m-£150m for them combined.

There are only a handful of clubs that can afford to buy them and Barcelona are not one of them. PSG, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Bayern Munich. So the possibility is that both will still be with us at least up to January due to world cup. Phillips could go to Man City but deffo not Man Utd. Phillips could go to Chelsea as Declan Rice isnt…. Raphinha could go to PSG or Bayern.

Hoping Orta has top top replacements waiting if either or both leave and I dont mean Firpo’s cousin
