We showed a French Goalkeeper around last week . He got the red carpet treatment . As someone mentioned you won’t see anyone leave until July. If Forster left now even for an amazing contract he would lose his seasons bonus.

Celtic gonna be pissed off if we start cutting them out of the process. They’d probably already chalked up their £8-10m mark up on selling to us later.
Rightly so. I know a few Celtic fans and they bear us no ill will - seeing it as a compliment that their best players push on. Not getting the chance to develop them will hurt though. Like us, it’s part of their financial model.
Maybe we ought to cut Liverpool a bit of slack for the same reason....

Echo article discussing the Carrillo situation. The problem for Saints is that they prefer to sell him but there is an offer from Leganes for another loan. The balancing act is between loaning him and at least saving some wages or holding out for a sale and perhaps missing out on the loan. He will lose value when he is down to a single year on his contract. This is when the negotiators for Saints earn their corn.
This problem will no doubt be repeated for several other players. Comes down to a financial decision I know, but in general I always feel it is better to clear at least some of the deck. Players occupy the mind whether they are here or not....remember we have to wish them happy birthday every year
