I’m already feeling sorry for the next CB we bring in, simply because the expectation, from the fans, will have him under the spotlight continually.
And god help him if he makes a goal conceding error in his first few games.......

 

I honestly don’t remember either occasion, please can you give more details? Wesley has lost us more games than he’s won, for sure.

 

Usually by overestimating his own ability on the ball in dangerous areas.

He was probably one of City's best players at the Etihad if that counts?

 

Its fun to bash him because he's been a dick, but he did put in a few good performances. The problem is, like our other CB's he has a mistake in him. But, we should probably give him some slack, he could well be a starter in three weeks.

 

I agree that talent wise he's no where as bad as made out, whether or not he can sort his attitude remains to be seen.

 

Worth remembering too that he's only two and a half years old. So plenty of time to develop.

 

I've said it before but in his head he thinks that he is Beckenbauer when in reality he is more akin to Steven Caulker.

 

It might have even been three times. But for sure, I agree that he had at least two MOTM performances in my book.

I'm in no doubt that our CB options today are better than our CB options at the end of the last season (for multiple reasons). But that doesn't mean I won't be very annoyed if we don't sign a new CB. We absolutely need to. There's still a least two, if not three, in our squad who I would happily see us sell tomorrow.

I thought exactly the same, Hoedt was truely dreadful in most games I saw where he had any pressure

So with just over two weeks of the transfer window left are we expecting much more activity?

 

In reality we need to use this time to being in 1 CB, we have about just over 5weeks to sell due to the other leagues transfer windows closing much later.

 

It’s looking like a few pragmatic conversations have taken place.
