one of the prince bought himself freedom by paying $1 Bn or some thing in that region. Many money.

On the London stadium: The company that runs it at the moment should declare themselves bankrupt. Administrators would be able to negotiate a new deal to let it. WH could whistle and sue and wait in line for any money back as creditors. The stadium if sold would have to go at fair value.

Here's a link to the official website of the London Mayor and Assembly............

    https://www.london.gov.uk/press-releases/mayoral/stadium-forecast-to-lose-24-million-in-2017-18

The content should be breath-taking but in Today's world of Trump, it's just very, very sad how easy it was for him to get away with something so corrupt.

On their own, the report's revelations regarding the way in which the 'bid process' was 'conducted', should see Boris Johnson suspended by his testicles for the rest of his natural life.......

"The first bid process – won by a joint bid from West Ham and Newham Council to run and own the Stadium - was cancelled by Boris Johnson in October 2011 with subsequent legal action threatening London’s bid for the 2017 World Athletics Championships.

A decision was then made to adopt a ‘Public Sector Model’ in which the taxpayer would own, transform and operate the stadium. This, according to Moore Stephens, was when matters “went awry” and reported that the approach was fundamentally flawed from the outset.

The previous Mayor immediately publicly stated that he would “effectively rent it [the Stadium] to a football club, almost certainly West Ham.” This fundamental change meant that the public sector, not West Ham, would now be liable for the costs of converting the stadium, and was made without any analysis of the major financial implications of this approach. Further, the Mayor’s statement created a very weak negotiating position, underlined by his later decision to fund regeneration in the Tottenham area and thereby support Tottenham Hotspur’s project to build a new ground next to White Hart Lane.

With a less favourable deal on the table, and all the risk on the public purse, the review concludes that LLDC (chaired by Boris Johnson) should have considered the option of ‘no deal’ – something they never appeared to consider. This threat could have been used to negotiate a better deal with West Ham, with commitments from them closer to those made in the first bid process."

We're left with a situation where, following the Spammers' next relegation, the losses will start shortly after half time of the 6th home game of the season. After that, we the Council Tax payers of London will be sponsoring them to the tune of £10m. That's double what they get from the shirt sponsors, folks.

Worse than all of this is that Mrs B voted for the ****, despite me saying that I'd never speak to her again if she did. <wah> <doh>

I'd rather give the ground to Leyton Orient and put the spammers in the lowest league possible <laugh>

Well, at least we can now answer what the "that" is/was in
the Mayor of Newhams' famous "30% of that" claim :

    that = NOTHING. 30% of nothing = ... NOTHING.

A neighbour of mine who is a Hammer, a decent bloke [rare] and very well informed on this matter [even rarer] tells me that AEG informed Boris that acceptance of West Ham's bid of £2.5m per season would guarantee that E20 would be in liquidation within 10 years, even with the proposed 'Naming Rights' deal and other income streams. Without those, it's taken less than a year and a half.

The idea that their bid, being the only one, meant that it had to be accepted is wholly incorrect. The auditors' report to the GLA indicates that it was open to him to reject their offer and re-think the rental option/exclude football use/decide to knock the thing down or whatever else entered his ego-centric head. The decision to accept a bid that could never work was solely predicated on commitments to Lord Coe, Lady Brady and the RFU that the stadium would be up and running to use for the Rugby World Cup in 2015, that he'd be long gone before the brown stuff hit the fan and that he's a twat.

My neighbour also told me that the tender process for the award of contracts for the post-Olympics work was 'dodgy' and that there are links between some of the main players and the winners of some of the contracts. This is apparently reasonably well known in the circle of construction firms competing for major public development contracts and not news to the Mayor and likely to form part of a raft of measures that will be employed to get West Ham's owners to renegotiate their 'Deal of the Century'.

Unfortunately, none of this will get me my additional £500+ of Council Tax payments back.

A Wet Sham fan told me this story and showed me photographic evidence, so I'm pretty sure it's true.

One of his fellow Spammers went to the pub a couple of hours before yesterday's game with City.
He was being served at the bar and chatting to one of his mates about the bets that they'd put on.
He'd had a punt on Andy Carroll as first goalscorer, as a fool and his money are soon parted.

"That's not going to happen", piped up the barmaid, having overheard their conversation.
"I know it's not likely love, but you never know, eh?", he responded.
"No, it's not going to happen. He's sitting over there having a pint," she shot back.

Sure enough, he had a quick look and the Geordie Donkey himself was sat there drinking away without a care in the world! <laugh>
The fan even got a selfie with him.

I assume that he's injured, but even if he is or maybe especially if he is, he shouldn't be out on the piss when they've got a big game.
He could at least turn up, show his face and support his colleagues. Sums him up, for me. Waste of a career.

Looks more like wishful thinking on the Spammers part, as the report is seriously notable for the absence of supporting comment from Sporting..... <laugh>

I doubt whether SL will be too eager to deal with a Championship side anyhow.....

"Subsequent to this, the clubs have had positive communications and the matter is now resolved. On this basis, there will be no barriers to both clubs negotiating or working together in the future."

Other than the obvious barrier of them being West Scam.

But Sporting's communications director Nuno Saraiva questioned the validity of the leaked emails, which purport to show a 25m euros (£22.8m) offer, as well suggestions Sullivan was called a "liar" and a "parasite" in a Facebook post.

West Ham refuted the claims, called them "attention seeking", and considered legal action.

    They considered it? <laugh>

I wonder what stopped them? Ask any of his own club's supporters what he was like? A "liar" and a "parasite" would be the two nicest things you'd get in response.

David Moyes has said that he will be 'targeting players with PL experience' in the January window.

Looking forward to seeing Steven Pienaar, Joleon Lescott and Victor Anichebe back in the premier league.

I'll ignore the bitter comments about Levy and instead skip to the best part of David Sullivan's interview with The Grauniad

“I just think we feel like a big club,” Sullivan says. “Not a tinpot club. When players come to look at West Ham, they look at where you play.”

Won't those players see that West Scam play in a stadium that is currently at the heart of an investigation into fraud on a massive scale?

I've just read the article. He just opens his mouth and talks ****.

In 5 seconds he goes from criticising Levy for the season ticket price at Spurs, to saying that building their own stadium would have bankrupted West Ham. Yes David, when you buy something, you have to pay for it. That's usually how it works.

He says that their next purchases won't be washed-up 32 year olds [which must make Zabaleta feel right at home] and that he probably shouldn't have bought Fonte. They may not be English, mate, but I doubt that they're completely stupid.

He must know an awful lot about tits and ass because as a business or football man, he seems clueless.
