A tweet that a twat re-tweeted: Tiddy@NeilTidd1969 Replying to @rcumber1 and 9 others I also believe and I will say again HAD LEVY & HEARN not tried to hijack the bid and destroy our credibility etc we would have a significantly different layout .. our fans seem to forget this 5:53 PM - Nov 26, 2017 44 Replies 33 Retweets 1010 likes What a ****ing idiot. I wonder if Daniel or Barry are feeling litigious? If so, that may indeed be worth its weight in [David] Gold.
How did we have any sort of influence on the layout, at all? Levy's proposal was to demolish it completely and build a proper football stadium with a separate one for athletics, wasn't it? He told them that it wasn't fit for purpose.
No and I'm not surprised that Gold re-tweeted it either. The unholy trinity just want to keep the rabble in order until they can sell for a massive profit. I just want my additional Council Tax payments back before they do.
Checks profile: "once a HAMMER ALWAYS a HAMMER. Opinionated idiot." Sounds about right. This sort of thing's quite typical: It's funny how much this sort of moron and the extremists that they claim to hate share in common.
With our own PL form in question, Brexit costs escalating and Trump fermenting racial discord around the globe pushing the world towards potential destruction, at least we have the Spammers to bring some light relief!
In a funny way, they almost deserve to be funded by taxpayer money. They do a great public service and provide joy and quality entertainment to people during difficult times. They are far more useful than the BBC, for example.
As reported on the Stadium thread, last night saw further concrete slab pouring behind the South Stand. Today, the area poured last night has been covered with a protective covering. That seems to have the weight of a crisp packet and has attempted to blow away on a number of occasions. The contractors don't seem to have worked out how to stop this from happening.........Why not get West Ham's team to stand on it? They are the most static thing I've ever seen and there appears to be plenty of weight there. Problem solved.
http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-42194382 Next few months could be interesting. Khan definitely looking to elicit as much political capital as possible, with BoJo in his sightlines - but my bets are on the Spammers walking away scot-free!!
It's losing £20m p.a. He has to stop that loss. £10m on the athletics conversion nonsense leaves him £10m short. We're paying Wembley £15m per season. I wonder what the £10m shortfall could be down to? Whilst West ham have a prima facie valid lease that would be binding upon any future owners of the site, who is going to want to try and run that bollocks with the primary tenant paying much less than the running costs? According to the report, the matchday costs of staging a game at the London Stadium currently stand at £220,000 a game, exceeding the fixed fee, of £2.5m paid by West Ham, to have up to 25 matches a season there. The report stated: “Reflecting utilities and business rates and the fixed fee of the stadium operator, the required break-even usage fee rises from £2.5m to around £11.5m.” West Ham may see this as an opportunity to buy it 'on the cheap' and it could come to that. It cannot be allowed to. West Ham need to understand that Khan will take Judicial Review proceedings over Boris Johnson's actions and seek to have his actions in accepting their bid declared ultra vires and have the whole tender re-run on the basis of any tenant meeting a proper rent that produces a return for Londoners and starts to get me my £500 of additional Olympics related Council Tax back. The report accepts that we'll never see a penny of the conversion costs back, as Newham Council Tax payers have lost their £50m 'investment'.
Will they have to pay the same when Moyes takes them to Division 2? £2.5M is a lot of money for a minor club struggling for survival. I would hate them to go out of business, they generally cheer me up when results go against us. Is there a clause that forces London rate payers to support the club financially just as the Madrid rate payers have to support RM? Can they use the stadium on non match days to run a massage parlour/brothel to raise finances or will they be totally fekked? How many dildo's do you have to sell to make £2.5 M?
Laughably, the rent halves to £1.25m per season when they are relegated. Just as the as the concession income they share will drop halve and the cost of stewards and policing will double as they deal with Millwall, Leeds, Cardiff [maybe?], Birmingham, etc.
I know Saudi Arabia is hardly a paradigm of tolerance and equality, but Crown Prince Salman has got it absolutely right over there. He has spent the past 2 months arresting and freezing assets of every government minister or contracter who undertook a public project that suddenly and conveniently "encountered unexpected additional costs". Granted, they are now 'imprisoned' in the nicest Hilton in the country, but the message has been heard loud and clear: No more **** ups.
