Be careful what you wish for. I think Moyes has it in him to be (relatively) successful at the Tax Payers Arena team, based on his performance with Everton. He was not given a chance at ManU - that squad was already past it when Fergie won his last title and they put no money into reviving it. And I'm not sure anyone has much of a chance at Sunderland. I very much doubt (sadly) that they will now be relegated. (But I do hope that the dodgy deal over the stadium is gone over in greater depth someday.)
