How the **** did the plane take off with out you, yet have your baggage on board! Is it different rules for internal flights?

Bloody hell, best hope the terrorists don't see this loop hole <whistle>

That reminds me of my first experience of travelling in the states in the early eighties. I did a fair number of internal flights and couldn't believe what was taken on as "hand luggage". I think military style duffel bags (the long tubular type) must have been the travel bag of choice and coupled with the huge stereos, popular at the time, made getting on the plane first a priority.
Travelling internally by plane in the states has always been a bit of a joke. Up until 9/11, there were few controls.

Don't know. Probably an oversight on their behalf. I was checked in and through security. I guess they didn't expect somebody to go back through security into the terminal building. Never thought about it that way, but yeah it would be a massive security issue.

I love the plank-ton who don't know the
dimensions of the cabin baggage space in
    smaller planes.

Over the years on VLM/Cityjet etc , some of
the planes have letterbox sized baggage
compartments by the wing sections, and are
near the front of the plane.

I am deadly at getting the seats closest to the
front that avoid those seats, and have immense
fun when the idiots appear with their rigid trolley
cases, and then their baggage ends up either
right at the back of the plane or in the mini-hold
    space. :D

Easy Jet are ****s and I'd never fly with them again even if free. I have a holiday home in Spain and decided to recuperate after some surgery some years back. The out bound leg from Gatwick, no problems at all. One small case of their approved size and a very small medication bag with nothing but meds in, return Journey massive argument. Some Jumped up rancid tart called Mercedes singled me out for having two items of cabin luggage.

The upshot was I had to pay 50€ excess to get on the flight. I accused the dyke of being sexist as she was letting women on the flight with bigger suitcases and big **** off hand bags. Needless to say I dragged their name all over the dailies with transcripts from their unbelievable letters too ...****S!

I assume you are aware if you pay a premium for your seats you get extra hold and carry on baggage?....so maybe she wasn't be sexist, the other woman might have paid more than you <whistle>

The best way for humans not to pollute the earth is not to create anymore humans. 1 human takes up how much resource? The amount of food we eat and energy used to produce it etc etc in a modern society.

As for queuing up i generally dont and laugh at the people who do as my hand carry is a bag and nornally goes under the seat in front. However travelling with family or the missus normally means fighting it out for the luggage space above so sometimes we queue
