I think they inherit the houses! Who'd ever sell with that location? There's a couple of strange decrepit old bungalows tucked in amongst them too. Still worth a mint no doubt. Ther was at one point two pubs at Pwlldu, many years ago of course. The one that was there most recently was, predictably enough, called the smugglers.
I think you're right right there with the inheritence thing, and about the the location, stunning even on dull day. I actually preffered the older older higgly piggly looking houses to the more modern ones, more character and all the all the cliches you can think of. pubs closing ... should be made illegal! Blighty's best pastime - bit of a walk followed by a swift one in the pub and talk some shoite with the aboriginals, then home!
On the subject of walking I walked to the juicer only last week... was at least 2 whole miles from my gaff.. was wearing these espidrills gave me a blister... 3 pints of erdinger and one old rosie later i felt no pain what so ever.. On the subjest of old rosie... Dont know if i mentioned this previously... the shop next door to my office sell a carbonated version of it.. 7.5% of liquid justice in a bottle..
I'm not too sure they're brummies.. guess they might... if you lure them with black pudding ***gots and pork pies... though the lad who owns appears to be partial to rustlers burgers... have you not tried carbonated Old Rosie? as i previously pointed out it is liquid justice in a bottle.. I was pissed off two bottles... though clearly a man of my stature I hadn't eaten so thats my excuse...
off to brizzle tonight to see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_Vile at the fleece & firkin with drinks next door first at this favourite of mine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Stars_Public_House,_Bristol
how was brizzle? I was on the black stuff... combined with kebab.. has led to a lethal situation in the office today... gas masks are required...
brizzle in the drizzle mate! had a weird pint last in the seven stars pub - brewed by Three Tuns ... top name!
Alright, who gave this thread the kiss of life? Nice to see you again boys! On the subject if footwear, I got a cracking pair of Gola trainers in TKMax t'other day - 17 quid down from 40. Dead retro looking, red laces and trim. Love that shop. I'm turning in to a right ****ing cheapskate chav bastard. Anyway, I hate international football even more when it deprives me of my United fix for 2 weeks. Missing the Prem for that pile of arse gravy the other night. That ****ing disrespectful Italian pisses me off as well. He's been around, raping our game for years and the fat **** can't even be bothered to get fluent in our language. The press should keep on crucifying him until he resigns, the greasy parasitic worm that he is. Anyway, good to be back lads. Keep it up!
Hey up foo is back... More importantly did you aquire a matching bag for said trainers thusly fulfilling the student look..
Ha ha, not a retro bag sweats, but I did purchase a studentish courier bag for my text books and salad sandwiches. What a ****ing loser I am! Anyway, Bolton eh? 3, 4or 5 nil I reckon. What's on the weekend agenda fellas? I've got a couple of beers and some wine chilling. Laaavly.
For me it's taken a slight down turn. Off to a Dinosaur park for the afternoon and we stop at this brilliant thatched pub with its own micro brewery on the way back for some food. The pisser is that that will at about five o clock so I miss the game live! Cripes, I can hear old Scholsey's head popping somewhere down south at what a plastic that makes me. He'll no doubt be in super fan mode wearing the very latest kit whilst he's at it. I'm not overly chuffed but what can you do, I work away all week so the kids come first, I'll have to catch the game on Sky later. Strictly with a bottle of Rioja tonight though of course. Golf in the morning then a sunday dinner and then it'll feel like it's all ****ing over.
I still can't get over you being a strictly fan Tags. No disrespect or owt like, but you don't seem the type to be into that kind of show. I'm watching X Factor under duress (vowed not to watch it after last year's ****e) but it's bearable with a few cheeky ones washing down the magnificent chicken jalfrezi I've just done from scratch. Bloody lovely it was, even if I do say so meself. Great result today, not that it was ever in doubt (see above prediction...) but a bit of a ****ter Cleverly getting done by that dirty, talentless twat Davies. He's everything I hate about the English game, the ****ing carthorse ****er. Rooney is the man - but Nani is probably the best winger in the world. He's just brilliant. Frustrating at times, but more often than not exhilarating, driven and deadly. I love watching him. Tags, Rioja - I just can't get away with the stuff. Maybe I'm supping the wrong kind, but more often than not I end up chewing it. I'm a shiraz man all day long.
I ended up on Sauvignon Blanc anyway. Rioja is only good when it's good if you know what I mean, a cheap bottle will be ****. Buy a Faustino V, or better still I, and come back to me! Agree on Shiraz though, it is top drawer. Strictly only really gets good towards the end once the fat ****'s and the politicians (or the combo of both)and the boxers have gone. The female dancers are simply stunning tough and I hate X factor with all my heart so it's what we watch. Let's face it, once those two programmes are on over autumn the rest of the channels give up so it's pick one of the two. Bit disappopinted with the female 'celebs' this year mind, only Holly Valance to have a memory **** to of an evening! Phil Jones is ****ing amazing. What a player he has the potential to be, **** me. Beckenbauer class, and only 19 he is truly superb. I remember that ****ing cretin KPR saying Scott Dann was better than him when we signed him (they were allegedly in for him of course, that turned out well)!! Another one of them Djourou. FFS!!! the Twats. Good to see how they are all taking defeat so sportingly on the chin on the Liverpool board!!!
