How can you be toast fan and not like Marmite? Weirdo! I loves it. Hot, thick toast (preferably a crust) straight out of the toaster, smothered in (ideally) salted butter and, when that's soaked in a bit, spread the Marmite...TREMENDOUS! All washed down with a hot mug-a-tea.

I'm out on my leaving do tonight - curry house in Cockermouth (steady Sweats...) called The Spice Club. Meant to be really good and I'm looking forward to it. 14 of us in total, but most of them are tight-assed teachers who'll probably quibble over the bill for 3 hours at the end.

Last day tomorrow, then it's CND marches and Pot Noodles for breakfast for the next 3 or 4 years. Get in!

Dunno why I said 'toaster' twice. Maybe because they're so good?

See you're all taking the lords name in vein..

Cockermouth eh? Isn't that where all those kitchen sinks drowned picking winkles? An I do not like Bombay badboy pot noodles.. Tried it once never again.. My arse nearly bled the following day.. An to put up with that kinda pain I require something far tastier to warrant it..

Lovely curry last night. And it smells the same now as it did then <paaarp>

I've got to give some semblance of a leaving 'speech' to about 100 staff later. Oh deary me. It's almost worth retracting my resignation over.

I did have a couple of jokes lined up, but another person who's retiring is doing so through ill-health and his wife is also dying, so they may not go down too well. Hey ho, at least I've got loads of ale to look forward to tonight. GET THE **** IN!

    Enjoy Sire....

As far as the job front goes Derby is a shoite place to be at the moment.

650 of us all due to be 'working for the government' when we eventually get our finishing dates (Early Oct at the earliest - dependant upon whenever we are forced to work our notices)

Looking at it possitively - it'll cost them approx a years salary to get rid of me - bwahahah -

And the beautiful irony of it all? - Many many of us took out Income Protection Insurance with Barclays (other policies/companies are available etc).... So ironical that it's now Barclays that will be making us redundant..... .....and then paying us to be redundant. :)

(would have entered a clapping/dancing type smilie if I knew how)

No, Chopsy is hear, have no fear. Been sorting a few things out.

In a nutshell, breaking free from the absolute ****ing cowboys that I was working for and getting new employment. Trouble is, it's in North Devon!! Nice area, ****er to get to. Spent the last three days renewing my first aid, £300 ffs!! Now sorting accomodation, got B&B this week and it sounds like they'll rent me their static caravan after that which will save a bomb. Spartan but real I feel.

This could be short term and interesting or an absolute ****, it's been a while since I worked away. I very much doubt I'll have t'interweb access so I might be quiet for a while I'm afraid.
Either way I'll have to make sure I get some money in whilst doing this and the company, Dean & Dyball, are top rank and in the line I want to be in which is water treatment, waste water, coastal defences etc.

So, this weekend it's a few farewells. My bro in laws going away piss up tomorrow which involves a coach guided pub crawl round Gower. Then mine on Sunday, it might be short term four week contract or I might get the whole shebang, which will be nine months.

I too think it's now beer o clock
