Other than mistakes I don't think we were that bad. Uruguay didn't create that much and both teams were pretty evenly matched in terms of competitiveness. A draw was probably a fair result and one which would mean qualification would probably still be in our hands come the Costa Rica game. Gerrard's error changed that. Suarez was in an offside position when the ball was flicked on so the Defence were doing their job in keeping a good line. The fact it was then flicked on by an England player meant Suarez had a massive head start on our centre halves. A witch hunt gets us noweher but the mistake has to be Gerrards and he has previous.
Who so far strikes you as certainties to beat anyone? Germany. The rest, we are capable of beating them.
No idea how they try and blame the CB. yes they should have seen into the future and predicted gerrards mistake but they didnt.
Gerrard is clearly not what he was, he got older! but England's defensive problems are deeper than just his mistakes though Our defence is simply not good enough to contain the games top strikers

How fast do you think they are. The 0.05 seconds from it coming off donkeysaurus' empty head to reaching suarez' feet took them out of the game entirely.
Others would be blamed if they had made mistakes. They were caught out due to the mistakes of others and while they played their part in the defeat, it simply doesnt happen without Gerrards intervention.
Why didnt Cahill at least slide Suarez to try and block the shot? On the first goal Jag jumps for the header but misses it, very similar to Gerrard Wheres all their criticism??
What criticism. Jag was partially at fault for the first but the second was all gerrards fault. Jag has been blamed for his role.

Yeah for me too. Spoke to mick, he advised to delete your cookies. Then go to your control panel, general settings then make it so swearing is shown. Then save. Then change back to no swearing . I tried and didn't work. If I manually set it to swearing at the bottom of the page on control panel the icon for latest comment appears.
