I can see how it could be a genuine error, trying to make out Evra is thick rather than being overtly racist. I've made that mistake in the past by not considering the potential race implications of a joke or comment I've made. But then to claim that there are absolutely no racist connotations and suggest that anyone who points out the potential racist nature of the picture is talking out their arse is complete BS imo. Typical Liverpool logic - when we say something that could be seen as racist but we didn't mean it that way it's fine.
