And so you should, it's a top weekend. I keep trying to persuade her to go for a weekend but she always wants to take the kids too, which kind of negates the whole point!

You should take the kids.. Bore them to death by doing all the museums.. Think I was 8 on my first visit.. Remember the natural history being good, loved the war museum, sitting in tanks etc.. Only one I didn't like was the V&A.. Did hms Belfast.. Tower of london..

They love the natural history museum, Dinosaurs everywhere. it's a great day out for the nippers.

Last time we went up the smoke we only took our eldest to some Dino thing at the O2 so it was easier. Great day out, only spoiled by the chav Swans fans on the train home after a pissy away day at Millwall.

"Boyso, boyso, ****ing hell lads, stop the swearing for ****'s sake you can see there's a little kid here"

    Great stuff.

My favourite was always the imperial war museum.. we took my great grandad.. He joined up in the army right at the end of WW1.. then rejoined for WW2.. he cried god bless him most of the way round the place..

He was awarded 3 mentions in dispatches in WW2 tried tracking it all down a few years ago, it's all on record but not why he got them..

How funny would it be if Mikey Owen scored the winner v City today?

Can't see it happening but we live in hope.

No, but he is a sub.

    You never know.

I see one of forwards has dived again. For ****'s sake, I wish they'd cut it out it just gives fuel to the tin hat brigade. Surely we can beat Wigan without resorting to that ****.

Stoke winning against City, Crouch with the goal.

Dive by Welbeck so actually kind of glad Hernandez missed. Anyone else feel the same?

Yes, to be honest. He dived for England on Tuesday too, he's a bloody embarrassment.

Idiot, he should concentrate on trying to become a decent footballer and finisher.

You do have to be dazed by the likes of Davidako and KPR on here trying to make out all United fans are bad because a few morons sang the "always the victims" song yesterday.

Then you have that moron KPR being the one at the front of the queue having a go when this dip **** is the one who has made some disgraceful posts on this site. Pot, kettle and black springs to mind.

Unfortunately Alan the way that things are reported turns the 'few morons' into 'United fans', which is a massive generalisation but that is what the media do. I believe it was 20 or 30 fans yesterday out of a 70,000+ crowd...but that doesn't matter to the press (or to us at times), sensationalising the event sells copy and gets clicks on websites, and that is ultimately the aim...unfortunately! <ok>

Agree - he has the talent to be a great centre forward, but needs to make sure he doesn't get too big for his boots too soon. Hopefully SAF will have a word.

    This.

The whole issue should not be a partisan one in my opinion. Utd fans don't do vile chanting, and Liverpool fans don't do vile chanting. Anyone who does that is in no way a proper fan imo - they are borderline psychopaths who use football as an excuse for being complete ****ers. Calling them fans of one team just gives them some sort of vindication - the whole "I'm doing it cos the other team did it before so I have to stoop to their level to fight them" bollocks.

The sooner the media (and ****wits like Davidako) stop trying to turn this into a partisan issue the quicker it will be solved.

It's disappointing that our fans chose to sing that song yesterday. There can't really be an excuse for it. Another thing that pisses me right off is it also hands some false moral high ground to ****witted ****ing idiots who now see it as the green light to erase all previous from the history books. It does make our support appear to be especially knuckleheaded when I know only too well both sets are as bad/good/delete as appropriate as each other.

The thing that I don't get (and never will) is why people think it is a good idea to sing these songs in the first place! It still astounds me that there are actually people out there with such a low IQ (or whatever it is) that they think that it would ever be a good idea!

Unfortunately United fans are getting the generalisation that comes with the territory with this sort of thing at the moment, it was 20 or 30 apparently! But that is the way it is with this sort of s hit, the SOS video that does the rounds whenever these things crop up must involve less than 50 people, yet that is wheeled out as an example of how 'Liverpool fans' behave! Why the **** don't they ALL just stop it, it baffles me, it really does! <ok>

Well said, just a shame the likes of Kpr and Davidako can't realize this as well. You are right about the media just using this to sell papers, web links, etc and just shows how stupid a lot of football fans are to believe their sensationalism.

Don't blame you, this place is **** at the minute. That SKD guy is a proper nutjob. At first I thought he was just on the wind up, then I thought he was thick, it's become apparent that he is a loon. I've never seen anyone on any forum post so incessantly and bitterly about the same subject, all day, every day. When you read his rants you can almost picture him in his Crown Paints top whacking away at the keyboards muttering "**** you Manc scum, **** you, **** you, **** you, I'll show you, **** you."

You can always tell the 80's glory hunters from the proper fans. Someone like Page never actually goes off on a proper rant as, fair play to him, he's comfortable with his role as a Liverpool fan. The 80's crowd picked Liverpool because they were winning everything and it gave them a sense of "power" to taunt other footballs fans with. The Liverpool bandwagon derailing and, even worse, their most hated rivals having an unprecedented sustained period of success has sent many of them into a rage that always seems to be bubbling beneath the surface as they still want to do the taunting but have limited ammunition!

I'm quite into studying psychology so I find some of SKD's posts fascinating although disturbing at the same time. He really needs to relax but I don't think starting a match thread on the Monday before a Sunday game is going to calm him down much in the short term!
