Some of them lot really are deluded. The reason Spain and Barcelona are so successful using them kind of formations is because they have genuine world class players for each positions and this is something Liverpool don't have.
Chicken and egg, Spanish players are world class (unlike majority of english) because of the way they have been taught to play with a focus on possession and fast recycling of the ball. Agree Downing will never be taught this but a midfield of Allen, Lucas, Gerard and Sahin will learn a lot and adapt well
It was a false 9 position by my understanding and Gerrard is much better upfront than in midfield tbh, his outstanding season upfront with Torres shows that.

Yes because they are not tap-ins, they are curlers from the edges of the box after nutmegging his way through the defence, he needs the service and assistance and I think he will start getting that now
I didn't suggest that role, just the reason that fan had put him there. I agree Gerrard won't be able to do 90 mins twice a week,but when he's on the pitch he still performs very well
