Yeah it was quite small, was a yellowy orange stripe along either it's back or belly then black.. Managed a Photo of the silver one though you can't see it's head .. The black and orange one had gone by the time I grabbed my phone.
Slow worms I reckon. Came across loads in work once and the EA had to be called, all shapes. Endangered species they are and live in piles of plants etc so it's likely them. Definite have stripes down the sides, more gold than orange though?
Gotta be pizza express.. Sod piri piri chicken.. Pizza + doughballs plus they have a new wine on the list which is lush .. I now have the urge for pizza and wine.. May have to go to asda and procure both.. Possibly a cheeky cidre..
Too right, Pizza Express it is. Always a bit of a ****er dining solo but I'll take a paper! Back to this riverside pub then for, hopefully, Cidre. Had one Magners and one Bulmers yesterday and neither cuts it by comparison.
I can't stand magners is barely a notch above the acid like strongbow. Was drinking rokenberg Danish cider on Sunday.. Was magnificent.. The perry tasted like pear drop sweets..
on the cidre at the mo. £1.50 a bottle from bargain booze and excellant sauv blanc at just over a £5. Prefer "REAL" cider but have to say this cidre is better than strongbow magners and the like by a country mile ........ and then some( me being down with the yanks)
Mine is in walking distance of the house, I don't usually go there but when you're desperate for some liquid refreshment it is the best place in the world. 3 bottles of cidre and a named bottle of NZ sav. blanc from Marlborough( usually best part of £9) all in just over a £10, dead chuffed. just come in from the garden done loads of veg and annuals planting. bit of nosh now and then it's a toss up between True Blood (season 4) or a documentry on Georgie Harrison.
Think there may be the other side of town too far to be arsed.. I'm trying to stick to my no drinking for 2-3 days a week.. Would murder a cidre and an ice cold glass of Sauvignon b
Right next door to that Asda I would imagine, same demographic! Cidre is £1.50 a bottle in Tesco at the moment, too cheap to ignore. Strangely they do not appear to have the bloody stuff here in leafy Surrey. This Danish stuff is like drinking strawberry squash with lemonade! Not worth £5,05 a bottle though, thieving ****ers.
Ha, I bet you did! I'd had enough after one, no doubt I'd think otherwise on a lovely summers day but I now wish i'd gone for an ale. Would have been cheaper too. This not drinking for three days a week, great plan but I struggle with it when I'm away at the start of the week and when I get home I always fancy a glass of vino with tea. Guess that meakes me an alcoholic! It was better last year when i was just in the one place but this current job has me all over the south west and I rock up somewhere with no gym to go to or anything so have a beer. It's murder. Did some press up tonight mind. Not many, but given I'm 16.5 stone it ain't easy!
I'm trying to motivate myself to do some push ups and some weights now.. I read somewhere that it's good for your liver to lay off booze totally for 2-3 days a week.. I ****ing love booze though I'd be pissed every night if I didn't feel like dying the following day. Haven't had an ale for a few weeks now, well since the weather turned..
I've got to start running or something, it's the one thing you can do anywhere at anytime and is free. Even swimming can be a bugger as most pools aren't just for having a swim nowadays. I get my new car tomorrow, it's why i'm down here. An Astravan Sportiva!!! Tax relief on it being a commercial vehicle you see. A bloody two seat panel van for ****'s sake! I ****ed the Clio up big style, engine went, total write off. Hated the **** anyway, glad to see the back of it. Not glad to have metaphorically wiped my arse on three grand though.
