Stats wise Im sure youll find the majority og relegated sides wait far too late to pull the trigger.

Both of Bruces previous seasons relied on decent starts and finishes, without a decent start we could be one of the worst sides in the league until the last 10 games.

29% win rate is pathetic

It'll be fine imo I think we'll see 3 to 6 points over the next two.

It's the same level of panic before the great run we had for the last quarter of the season.

If not then he deserves to be questioned or sacked

Panic is perfectly justified. Its the same logic people use in disasters what youre doing now, like "we had previously flown the aircraft with hazard lights on, I thought it would be fine this time too."

Just because we pulled ourselves out of a hole last season doesnt mean we will continue. And i Imagine youll find most sides in our position do go down, Sunderland for example.

Youre paralyzed by fear over making a potentially positive decision. In truth, 29% is the worst in Prem History so it cant be much worse

Actually all im saying is its too soon to panic and I might avoid another serving of humble pie.

I see no harm in seeing what happens over the next 2 or 3 matches.

That % doesn't include managers that only lasted a short time mind.

He's never managed a side a club hoping for much more than survival.

Why do you care so much about humble pie or what random people think. Neutrals will think you're a **** either ****ing way, just hold a single opinion and stick too it.

Statistically he's shocking, the form is absolutely dreadful, we play like a bunch of clueless ****ing mongs and we have the same discussions every single time the starting 11s are revealed. He has no idea what the best 11 is after 3 years, hoping for a quick change in form when everyone else is exhausted is like praying to the gods.

If you're happy, you're happy. But the place is for us all to talk about things and vent, I accept people will say he's a fat ugly **** and needs shooting.

My opinion hasn't changed mate

This is a place for me to vent also surely and **** the neutrals they don't know what it's like supporting this soulless miserable club do they?

I'll say it again... I hate Steve Bruce, but he's done ok and it's far too early to be chasing him out... Its also a complete waste of time because we're only getting someone just as **** If not worse.

What we need is him to succeed

I don't know why that makes me the bad guy here tbh.<laugh>

In truth, I am in big agreement with Gary Neville on managers. He said a few years back in his opinion a managers natural time to leave a club is after 3 years, because for most of the staff and players there your words start meaning less and less and you need to consider a change of environment. I wanted Rafa to move on after his 3 years, I was bitterly disappointed how the situation there ended as both parties were petty ******s.

Honestly, if Rafa had made it absolutely clear he was leaving from day one of negotiations, we could have found someone better than Bruce.

I would have personally waved Bruce off after 12th because I think that was a peak performance under him. Of course, most clubs have lazy boards who want to take in a £100m a year with minimal effort so.

I think its largely correct nowadays. I just think its harder to get the time to go longer. Everything in life is now 100mph, we want it now now now. So you can be in Europe and a hero one season, then have a myriad of factors **** you over the year after, and no one will give a ****, they just see bad results. Memories are short. The players are no different. They will happily wax lyrical in the papers about manager when things are going good, but the minute they leave after a bad run and they start alluding to it being right time for a change. Modern culture to me makes it very difficult to have an Alex Ferguson.

Wouldn’t it be nice to not be having the conversation about Bruce. Like if he had walked.

We'd soon be talking about how **** his replacement is.

It's a never ending circle of despair.

I'm simply watching others continuing to watch others waste their time

The club could simply appoint someone who isn't a proven loser

The club aren't going to do that

15 years and only 1 manager was any good and Ashley hated him for it.

He learned not to appoint anyone that wants to challenge him.

Your desperation to get rid of Bruce is only going to result in further suffering

Another depressing but honest presser by Bruce today.

He's told us all once again that the prodyct on offer is to fight for 17th.

Nobody has to pay and nobody is misleading anyone.

Wants to improve on last season and have a cup run. Not keep the club ticking along

Tbf he says today he wants to be competing in the top half, but he's merely being honest as to what his remit is.

What people want and what the clubs target is are two different things.

It's a hard listen and not what we want to hear. I wanted to hate him, so I can understand why the masses can't override that primitive emotional response, but on reflection he didn't say anything untrue or misleading.

So why did he say differently a month ago? What's changed?
