You could be right, I doubt that he will be a bit part player as some Reds hope he will. With the talent around him adn playing as an attacking unit with Silva and Aguero will bring the best out of him while he also learns the crafty side of unlocking defences.....in my opinion

yeah... or he'll get caught doing drugs and be sacked... in my opinion.

I agree he won't be a bit part player but only if he stops ****ing about and actually works hard for a change. Having better players around him will make him appear better too, just look at how he played alongside Suarez for half a season! The lad undoubtedly has talent, that's not the issue. His mind and attitude are the problem.

BBC - But former Manchester City captain Rodney Marsh believes it is a "big step up" for Sterling and says manager Manuel Pellegrini will start him on the bench.
"The way City are lining up at the moment, Sergio Aguero is the anchor of the team," said Marsh. "So I can't see Sterling playing in a role that would affect that. With Yaya Toure and David Silva in the supporting positions he is probably going to be a wide player.

"I would not think he would be an automatic starter unless something remarkable happens in pre-season.

"I can't see him breaking straight into the line-up. I would have thought he would start with the reliables, with Sterling and Wilfried Bony on the bench."

You could say the same for many other players Suarez made look good that season<ok>

if he is right then sterling is toast as his corssing is poor at best.

Think you need to compare him against the people he will be battling for a starting spot, further down in the article it gives stats and he is pretty equal on all apart from dribbles, but seeing as he attempted 200+ compared to the average of about 50 you expect a lesser completion rate.

More goals/assists than Navas and Nasri, sterling had a total of 14, the other two had a total of 8 each and last season Sterling was rubbish by all accounts ;-)

No you don't. The rate should be the same. Unless he's making the wrong decisions.

Okay here is a loaded question for you astro.

Who made the better dribble completion and I guess more correct decisions in the 2013/2014 season.

A. Suarez

B. Nani

C. Deulofeu

D. Townsend

E. Hazzard

And I guess you could also have a stab who was the worst decision maker

And Allen had a 98% pass completion stat or something like that. Stats (especially when looking at one in isolation) mean **** all

Sterling will love being pushed out wide. It's something he moaned about whilst with us <laugh>

His crossing is a lot better than his shooting :)

Has the game gone crazy enough yet...
