He has only played a season and a half?

Sur Sterling would wait to get his prefer d me be, I suspect his problem(Rodgers) will be gone before his deal ends.

If Brod goes first I hope he signs Sterling for his new club. Resigned to being called boy till at least 2022 <laugh>

Think a lot of fans won't appreciate Sterling until he leaves.

You're having a laugh, Rodgers is the reason he thinks he's as good as Messi, Rodgers is the reason he thinks he's worth ridiculous wages.
Sterling is treated like a superstar by Rodgers but when he moves he'll find his new manager is surrounded by proper proven stars and he'll be just another face on the training ground and on the bench.

He'll be wishing he was back in Brendan's arms in no time.

Rodgers is the man who called him the best young player in Europe. <ok>

He also calls him boy/kid and threw him to the media once he rejected a new deal.

I don't want the lad to leave, would love to keep him but that ain't going to happen..
Now, I know, initially we'll miss him, we'd be deluding ourselves to think otherwise..
But, it could be a blessing in disguise in that..

1 - This time, the money we get in for him is spent wisely, and if a player + Cash deal is offered we make the right choice in taking a player better suited to us!
2 - The likes of Ibe and Markovic step up and replace him to a point where we don't miss the lad.

Sterling and his agent covertly set up a meeting with bbc sport(without the club's permission)to discuss his future and his yearning for success at a bigger club.

He threw himself at the media.<ok>

Sterling should be thankful to Brod, and the club. Given how unreliable he is he would have been sitting on the City or Chelsea bench if he was at either team last 2 seasons whereas at Liverpool he was playing every week for 2 seasons. But he wants glory, he still hasn't learned he has to ****ing earn it rather than going to a club with much better players than you and riding on their backs to trophies.

I'm still of the opinion Rooney went to United too early, he should have stayed another year maybe two at Everton but this is the way it goes, I mean Rooney was a BS, from Liverpool and he still jumped ship post haste ffs. For the same reasons as Sterling is doing it now, career, you blame it on not what? liking Brod? You mad ****<laugh> Wishful thinking more like

He is leaving for the same reason as Rooney, to win things. Rodgers has shown with a big bag full of cash and one of the worlds best players he cant deliver that<ok>

It's great to think that he would have flopped at City or Chelsea, especially when he can't wait to get away from the club right now. He is a cracking player, managed badly<ok>

Sterling has something in common with Rooney, having an agent who's been pushing him in the driection that'll earn him the biggest fee.

He's been badly advised and one day he might realise it.

I am sure Rooney is regretting his decison to move to United......

Much like Sterling will when he looks back at leaving Liverpool

Wayne is still a Blue. I'm sure there's part of him that wishes he stayed at Goodison long enough to be remembered as an Everton legend as opposed to a Judas.

I do agree and have said that since day one, but Sterling is also seeing the £££ and obviously he wants to play at the top as do they all.
His agent has promised him private jets, mink fur coats and cheese burgers if he follows his advice no doubt.

Maybe he does, but I am sure when he looks at his medals and personal highs in the game that makes up for it.

Sterling is not a red, he has no links to the club and is just an asset for them. His manager even played him out of position because he didn't trust an Italian international to play up front.

It's a bit of a mad one alright, he's a local lad so it's odd, had he stayed it would have had large financial implications for Everton, god ones, over time and obviously a need to build around him would have arisen.

I guess when you offer young lads a step up to the top it must be extremely difficult to refuse, patience and youth are diametrically opposed <laugh>

Fan or not, his behaviour has been grim. He's disrespected his club, his colleagues and the fans by his actions over this move. Contracts seemingly mean jack **** these days and the meaning of the word loyalty isn't seemingly understood by young footballers these days either.

Rooney's been a superstar in the English game built on skill and success, he should have maybe given the blues another season or two because he wouldn't have lost the ability and skill he had if he had have done and his career path would have more than likely been the same.

Sterling on the other hand has speed and very little else, he'll probably end up with medals earned off the backs of others and he'll rake top wages in, unlike that baldy fat blueshite Rooney who's earned his medals and commands the dosh he gets from his status in the game.

    Exactly.

He went too early and as a player you could argue that his peak was actually the 2004 Euros, when he was virtually unplayable.........and still an Everton player.
