If you can fly in at night. Up there with the most beautiful sights in the world. Manhattan all lit up.
I remember flying in one time - got there around eight pm, and they turned JFK round just as we were approaching. We did a loop south over the Atlantic just below Long Island, and flew up the East River at about 1000 feet or so - very low, pretty much on a par with the top of the Empire State. Had the most incredible view of the skyline. Only thing was, when we got to the turning point, the pilot just dropped the right wing and we turned sharper than I thought it was possible for a transatlantic jet to turn! That was the quickest landing I've ever had!
Farflung...get us a pint will ya...... New York eh, well i went out with a canadian bird for about a year and soon after we met she got posted to NY. She was given a car, flat expenses etc and to clinch her deal, they agreed to pay for me to fly over once every month to stay with her...So i went to NY for 5 days every months for almost ayear. had acess to cars and contacts and had a great time. if i were to try to list everything to do, it would be like trying to list everything in London. i had 2 mates that DJ'd in twilo, the Tunnel & family and recomend them.... Personally couldnt live there, and the new mayor has killed of the "city that never sleeps" tag! Still plenty of other stuff to do though I'll catch you before you go and pass on all i know. Now stop stalling and get the beers in mate!!

I'll have an e alcoholic ginger beer in honour of Beth and hope she comes in looking for some peace and quiet. Yes bar man I want an umbrella - no point doing anything by half.

Sorry Pete wasn't in last night....Thursday is pub quiz night. It was an away match but I forgot to take my team with me (Wonko and Matt ..........still places open boys)...The first question was..."where are your team?" but after an initial doh....I got the answer "StanBowles ebar". Which was correct. And it was onwards and upwards...we won...Barman! The Crabbies are on me. So who's in this morning....Queenslander will have a Crabbies XXXX, anyone else....and barman don't hold back on the umbrellas.
