I think generally we feel that if we hadn't had a horrific injury list, we would have been the team to beat last year. Ozil will have a year under his belt and we have Campbell and Sanchez. Sagna last year turned in some good performances, but also some real stinkers.

My feeling is that Debuchy is a big upgrade.

Having Ox, Walcott, and Diaby available for more than a few games will be huge.

In some ways I hope rest of the teams don't think we are a threat, more fool them.

We were the team to beat last year. It happened regularly. By big margins.

We lost three league games out of thirty eight by a big margin,I would hardly call it regular.

Well as I have said numerous times; Arsenal are my second team, and even if that were not the case, my opinion holds as much water as yours for sure! I watched Arsenal in most of the big games last season, and in some you matched the opponent, in others you were blown away, and very quickly. Arsenal were close last season for sure (as I mentioned in a thread a month or so ago, closer than they have been for some time points wise), but yet again, fell short.

Most Arsenal fans, and certainly neutrals or pundits, would not put that failure down to any lack of attacking threat, they would for sure be saying the weakness is in mentality, power, strength, and defensive naivety. Since the only area that you could say you are stronger in is with Sanchez in the attacking front, it seems you still have work to do. Man City were under their first season under Pellegrini and should improve slightly (yes you smashed them yesterday), Chelsea will improve what cost them last season, remember they won 5 of 6 and drew the other against the other top 4 teams, and they have strengthened in a few areas. If my opinion has no merit, why are you arguing the toss with it?? Just move on, and at the end of the season resurrect this thread and call me a fool, no biggie!! Having watched Arsenal multiple times last season, I can say for sure that IN MY OPINION you are still lacking something. Hell, even a number of your fellow fans agree, yet you seem to be so insecure to what you perceive as an outsider saying the same. When in actuality I am a fan of Arsenal myself, I just am not sure the areas in shortfall have truly been addressed.

Too right! I guess when the emotions are involved it is hard to read and think clearly, which in this case he certainly is guilty!!

Anything remotely negative about arsenal will be vociferously argued by TT whether it's true or complete nonsense... It's nothing personal.

Sad! Supporting your team and thinking they will win is now "complete nonsense". Expressing that on an Arsenal board is now worthy of ridicule. Believe me, what I think of you is really personal!

LOL, you've had that saved up for a year? Hahaha, you're one sad little dude!

And what I said a year ago about Szcz stood, he had just won the golden gloves and we had just signed Ospina for cover. We weren't looking to sign another keeper at that point. And I don't think we would have been this summer either if a keeper of Cechs quality didn't happen to be available.

    Fail much?

Did you read over the thread and realize how wrong you were? I was actually looking over the thread to see what I had said about your chances myself, its nice to check out what you say sometimes, rather than spout endless bullshit and never look back at it! Like yourself!

Hahaha, don't be too upset at failing with your wummery, it was a poor attempt to start with <laugh>

Of course I haven't gone back and read the whole thread! I couldn't care less what we thought about our squad a year before this previous season was played out, I'm more interested in relevant subjects like what is happening this transfer window and how we will do this season!

I did read my comment that you quoted in this thread (the bit about the keepers anyway) that has been dead for a year lol since you quoted it and brought it to my attention. But due to the insignificance of your wummery, I've given you the very minimum of my attention ;)
