I think Luiz has been a marvelous buy and like Ramires all his knockers will be silenced, you can see the lad oozes class and once they get him within a confident team he will excel. <ok>

Agreed. Shame we dont have another 6-7 like them.

Sturridge on the cheap is also looking really shrewd (unitl he goes on a free next summer that is!!)

This has the basis of a really good, young exiting squad even when the old guard step aside. Just hope they all get the chance to prove it.
 
I cant see us having Drogs next season or malouda personally, that will make a huge difference..... I think Torres has burnt his bridges tbh. So that squad above looks set to be the future.

I don't think they will all go but Drogba, Malouda, Kalou, maybe Bosingwa / Ferreira on top of Alex and Anelka certainly sets up a large squad overhaul in the space of 6 months.

I'd be really worried about Drogba going now when you consider how Torres and to a lesser extent Lukaku are doing. Sturridge through the middle is an option in which case in the current system, we'd badly need a right winger.

I reckon Ivan for captain when Terry is phased out?

I tihink Drogba is part of the overall issues though... for the great Cheslea to progress, he needs dumping :(

Good spot. Pizzaro...Chelsea legend!!

Not a bad shout for Ivan. Thought Hutchinson would make the next great Chelsea captain though he still has so much to prove fitness wise.

Terry still has another few years left in him so can't see a new captain anytime soon though. He is still our best defender.
 
Dump them both, thats the best solution... start again from scratch... team of youth would still be good enough for a top 4 fnish imo
 
Miereles doesn't do it for me, at least not now. Plays like an outsider in the team, prone to get angry when things don't work. Undoubted ability, but in wrong place at wrong time.

wtf has happened to our defence? A few years ago we had the best defence in world football and now we look like conceding everytime our opponents attack.
 
In the same vain, we had the best team in the world a couple of a years ago. How times change.
