I asked for Uwe Rosler earlier this season when he was performing wonders at Brentford. I also think Dave Jones is a good, solid Championship manager. It is certainly too late to change managers again this season and the combined mights of Fergie, Wenger & Mourinho could not Harriott into a footballer.
Yes but the "hospital pass" started when investment dried up or walked away, so this manager inheriting this shower of s***e isn't new knowledge to a lot of fans... Roley not doing much about it was, but many fans preferred to go down the messiah route about him & Riga anyway...
Apart from tinker & find a winning combo, what realistically can Riga now do ? I give him some credit for dispensing with ****e like Green, Church and Tudgay, and also for not resorting to real 100% cack like Evina and Gower. Hopefully we will see Riga introduce Fox and Piggot. The sale of Yann looks like nothing short of a calamity, and who would have thought that it was possible to sign six foreign players in Janaury...with each one of them turning out to be ****e.
That's the point some of us were making all along... A turd is a turd, and no amount of polishing is going to change it, and certainly not a team manager... One man could have done something about it, Roley, but he chose to show us the old three card trick instead... Two good players in this team, now you see them, now you don't... As for hanging our hopes for the fight ahead on kids like Piggot & Fox, that just highlights how poor our squad has become...
Just getting round to Gary nevilles book on my trip to Norwich city, and he tells a story about les reed giving a talk on opposition during the KK era, and KK falling asleep whilst he gave it. Inspiring!
