Im deluded enough to think no one should ever want to leave us... that includes fans who leave Hull to better themself
I can imagine that. Statement from the owners: The entire squad have refused to play so, as of now, the reserves are playing and the first teams wages have been stopped.
I still don't know why Ehab just didn't say 'sorry you're not going now, we need you, but we'll help you get a move in the summer' What do people think would have happened if he had? Personally I think he'd have had a little sulk but then got on with it and played until the end of the season, if for no other reason that he'd want to look good to get a good contract at a new club We'd certainly have got less for him in the summer, but I think that would have been worth it
To be fair there is something in every player's contract. There's a loyalty bonus, clearly Snodgrass didn't care about it though. Then again with his new deal and signing bonus, a few hundred grand is probably insignificant to make sure he forced through a move.
Separate it is a good idea ... All the other stuff has got lost on here. I can see why it is part of the thread but it has taken over. We just need a good rumour or signing to get it back on track.
We haven't paid Marco for 18 months to sit on his arse with an injury that he had before he signed for us and then he hasn't complained about a contract that he was happy to sign previously.
Don't know the politics so won't speculate or take sides other than to say he was a good larker and we got some wonga for him after it looked like his career might have been f'cked in his first game for us. Players moving on? Once any player decides his future lies elsewhere the marrage is over and its time to offload. My thoughts now turn to those players who ARE still interested in playing for the famous Black n Amber.
He wanted to leave but the way he went about it is what bothers me. Refusing to train and making yourself unavailable for selection makes him a complete **** in my eyes.
When Livermore left all the players wrote on twitter straight away how sorry they were to see him go . Only Curtis has messaged so far about snodgrass
in the same way that they extended his contract as was their option. Haven't seen any of the other players complaining about it.
If he told Silva he wanted out on his first day, he's a bit of a ****. Livermore, from what we know, didn't want out and left because the Allam's accepted the offer. Snodgrass has clearly forced the club's hand into selling him, so I'm inclined to say **** him. If Silva can get someone better or at least someone more suited to his new way of playing, then I trust him. I still want to see another defensive midfielder and pacy winger before the window closes, otherwise we're up **** creek without a paddle.
Some fans on FB are using this post to defend him as "not a Judas" or whatever they said. Problem is: these posts are standard nowadays. All players post them whether they enjoyed their time at the club or not. Some are probably told to post it and given the photo to do it with.
