I thought about posting these two videos on @Jack Ford's Blue MInk thread and then thought NO!

They would not be 'in keeping' with his thread, given they tell the story of a band and its singer, rather than any particular song.

So, for those who either wish to reminisce or learn more about a great 60s band (and the way the record industry 'ripped them off')....ENJOY!

For those that are unaware, Ronnie Lane died from M.S. and I think was showing the onset of the disease when he was interviewed.

My everlasting regret is that I never saw them play live.

They would have been perfect for venues such as the Club a’Gogo in Newcastle or the el cubana in Sunderland, where you could walk from room to room (each with its own live band and dance floor) with the music 'overlapping' as you walked.

Happy days that the youth of today will never experience because of the fire/safety regulations that now exist.

I bought their album
"sha la la la lee" by mistake as a teenager early eighties.

Glad i did, All or nothing and Tin soldier up there as some of my all time favourite songs.

Ian McLagan says on the video (27'06) that it was his "least favourite" SF track, because it was anti education!
