Just had a brief sojourn on the manc board. It's like a kindergarten.
Honestly don't know why you guys bother, the only intelligent ones (and UiR) come over here anyway.

And just what is Tobes all about? He'll defend the indefensible just to have a go at LFC.

Suarez has that damn tribal tat on his right arm. The others are Ok, have meaning, but never understand the tribal one if you are not Samoan, voodoo, Native American, etc.

That definately shows age and was a fashion trend/fad.

Just about half the guys aged 25-30 have one of those tribal tattoos in SC.

Just like half the girls in their mid thirties here have something small and cutesy on back of their shoulder.

Definately goes in trends... and you can almost tell someones age/gender based on the tattoo and where it is.

Incidentaly tattoos were illegal in South Carolina until 3 or 4 years ago... used to be a big thing for people to get them on vacation in a different state because you couldn't get them at home... almost like a vacation souvenir.

They could get one on their second head, though.

Sorry JB you're talking out your backside there mate. That is a very general assumption and its a ridiculous one

My mate and other tattooists that he meets around the world at conventions are heavily into it, they're artists and their work is being put somewhere where it will stay forever

Sure you get silly Moyes out tattoos but you sound snobish to say its just a fad to have a tattoo. Some of my mates are covered in them and they had them done because they like them!

If the reason is for the picture they like or if for something that means something to them like a portrait of a family member, pet or whatever. You cant generalise and say they have only had one done as its in fashion that ridiculous to say that is mate <ok>

Of course it's a fad. Tattooing has been around for hundreds of years but mass tattooing is fairly recent. I watched an hour long TOTP from the 80's not one pop star had a visible tattoo. Today you'd be hard pressed to find one without.

I'm not about to start a campaign to ban it, I just think a lot of people will regret what they've done. Kelly Osborne and one of the Wahlbergs [yeah right] who were some of the first 'celebrities' to get inked, have started laser treatment for complete removal. There will be plenty more.

If people want tattoos - go for it. But I don't like them, just my opinion.

Mini luvs birthday so been to the cinema with the whole tribe, currently in Franky & Bennys which is an average food place other than the pizzas which are lovely.

I walked down Camden High Street a few years ago.
Every fourth shop seemed to be a tattoo parlour, and they hadn't been there one my previous visit the year before.
There were so many they had to employ people to come and accost passers-by to get their business. I felt like the Romans must have done in Caledonia.

They won't last long, in a few years they'll be down to one or two.

tattoos back then was more your rockers than pop stars. just like no one came out the closet in the eighties but today they are every where.

Alot of bands had tattoos in the 80's, this is when rock took off really, they were covered! (all be it in badly done tattoos :emoticon-0102-bigsm)

And I disagree with the fad and just a current trend thing

Why will people suddenly decide they dont like tattoos?

Think you mean the tramp stamp on the lower back. <ok>

<laugh>

When Elizabeth Taylor first married Richard Burton she had "I love Dick" tattooed on her front bottom.

Prophetic, that was.

Because it's a fashion. And it will go out of fashion. Everything does, history proves it.
It really is very simple.

I disagree

People have always had tattoos

The fact they're now more popular doesnt prove they will be going out of fashion in 30 years im afraid

All simply put of course

Best ask the laser removal clinics, also growing in number, that one.

Bloody 'ell, Doc.
No-one said they'd disappear off the face of the Earth. Just that their current popularity is down to them being fashionable.
