I always make my own (partially because very hard to find here)... only mentioned the icing on top because couldn't find my recipe and all the reciepes I was coming across on line were calling for icing instead of pastry... heathens! (well, technically Hot Cross buns are heathen anyway as they were originally offerings to the Goddess Eostre)

Of course, I'm not entirely traditional because instead of "x" to make mine cross, I put frowny faces on them instead. One year I did Hot Zebra Crossing Buns.

Anyone had a bank reverse a transfer before? Went to move some money from current account to an isa with diff bank and after a couple hours money appeared bank in my account again :huh:

Nah it went out and came back in again, 2 diff lines on the statement.

Can only assume it’s a fraud thing where they’re being careful but bit annoying

I checked my account one evening a few weeks ago and a couple of payments I'd made earlier that day had been debited from my account twice.
I was about to ring them the following morning but it had corrected itself by then. Makes you wonder just how these things can happen and how reliable these systems are.
 
Anyone seen the stuff by Matt Le Tissier today? I didn’t realise since he retired and disappeared off sky he’s turned into an absolute crazy conspiracy theorist.

Yeah just seen some bits about covid that he spouted as well.

Wonder if he’s a case for heading being banned from football!

Ok, he doesn't make the news here, so I had to go searching. Above is all I found. To be fair he doesn't say it was a conspiracy, he says "it's almost like they planned it that way.". To me that does not say "the government did plan it that way" but rather "I bet they're happy we couldn't enjoy the sunshine, those bastards".

Unless he said other things I just don't see, I don't see what the big deal is.

I think when you take that and add it to the other things he’s said it seems like he’s implying that either the gov can control the weather or that covid was a big scam and the gov used it to keep everyone inside when the weather was warm (not entirely sure what they’d get out of that?).

he’s also previously linked an article where an president of an African country died a couple of weeks after going onto about being an anti-vaxxer and linked it to bill gates.

He’s also gone on about how he felt sick when he saw a picture of David beckham with bill gates - if you can find the clip it was on a podcast with David cottorill who is apparently another ex player turned conspiracy theorist.

The former Premier League star also appeared to suggest on social media that images of Russia's massacre of civilians in Bucha, Ukraine, following their invasion of the country last year had been exaggerated, with 'crisis actors' used to make the situation look worse than it was.
These claims from Le Tissier have since been disproved.
 
He has views on a lot of issues. Bit like Katie Hopkins; lots of crazy thoughts but the odd opinions that make you think.

One of the things he's been pushing is the number of sportsman collapsing in action since the pandemic and vaccines. The numbers are there for all too see so there is a possible argument for this.

However, he's also on the 'planes are releasing particles into the atmosphere to prevent it being so sunny' conspiracy which is clearly insane.
