You have to bear in mind that it is a football forum though, we're here to discuss football and more importantly Liverpool. I just think if everything OT was posted in the pub thread then it'd keep the place tidier for you mods and you wouldn't get as much complaints. The Geordies do it, they have a thread called 'Shearers Ebar' which is where all their OT **** goes, then the rest of the about football.

I just think that why should certain posters have to look through all these threads to see whether they're genuine or not when the simple thing to do would be to just have a completely OT thread, which could be the pub thread.

Well, if the geordies are doing it...

A couple of OT threads do no harm. If you try discussing two OT subjects simultaneously in the one pub thread it would just merge into one and die out quickly. Also, not everyone goes into the pub thread.

Stop derailing <laugh>

Agree with this. It's now one of the quietest threads on here.

A good conversation lasts a page at most in there. You're talking about one thing, someone else comes in and mentions something else, that lasts 3/4 posts. Someone mentions something else and so on so on.
P.S This conversation should be moved into the Pub thread. <laugh>

Over to the pub thread please <ok>

Would these have gotten half the interest had they been moved to the pub thread...?

Fair enough, they are not football related but they generated board interest. Without them, would the board have remained as active as its been all day...?

It is not just about football threads, it is about keeping the board active, having more than a handful of posters to interact with (something that I think is thriving at the moment) and a place to vent anger or relax and have a laugh if you need/want to.

I have no problem with OT threads as long as they're not effecting the football threads. Personally I come on here primarily to discuss football, but it is good to mix it up and read different opinions on OT threads, though apart from the odd joke I don't post on them as I'm not educated on most matters and prefer to stay out of them.

Thing for me is that I've said I don't mind the OT threads, but at least make the OT threads worth reading you know. I don't wanna read about badgers, snails and butterflies tbh, if they were interesting then I'd happily read them and go along with it, if I'm not interested then I don't post (which is evident as I don't post in the OT threads that are up now)

I was also just trying to think up ways that everyone can be happy, but I give up now.

Clearly other people do , judging by the number of pages they run to. Just don't go on them mate. The Snails thread had some comedy gold on it <ok>
