I'm purely cooking burgers and sausages. Onions and peas are someone else's problem. Someone else will be doing cobs with a fourth taking money.
The Germans also boil sausages first so as to kill any bacteria and to make sure they are cooked through before putting them on the BBQ. To be fair it does work well and may stop you killing people with food poisoning.
Sounds good but I won't be doing that. In previous years (this is the fourth time I'm doing it) I've only had one large barbeque but I've acquired a second one this time so I can cook burgers and sausages separate.
I don't pay much attention to the sausages, the burgers are my proud and joy The first time I did it they insisted on using economy burgers / sausages because the local ASDA were willing to donate them (it is a fundraising event afterall). We made about £80. I refused to do it again unless we invested in quarter pounders and chunky sausages. They gave in and I got my way. I struck a deal with the local butchers where I'd advertise where I'd got them from and he'd sell me them at cost. I've made over £250 for the last two years. Not bad for four hours work
