Some mixed reaction online to SoS statement about potential new owners… official statement doesn’t really say much but people online reading between the lines that don’t want Middle Eastern owners.

Obviously Twitter isn’t the views of most normal people so take it with pinch of salt.

We won't have any real control over who the new owners are and neither will SoS. If we get bought by Qatar though, SoS will finally have a reason to exist again though... So good for them.

I'd say Mansour has done more for the community of Manchester than FSG has done for Merseyside. Don't know why we automatically approve of Americans more than Arabs, especially after Roe V Wade was overturned.

Maybe because American businessmen don't consider women chattels and don't routinely dismember people who disagree with them?
Not so much these days, anyway.

No. They would call themselves that if they were.

AAA is literally American Automobile Association. That's what it stands for. That's what they call themselves. They don't call themselves AA.

    this is quite simple.

all things British is obviously best

the open v the us open
    Wimbledon v the us open
    the aa v the aaa
the fa v that ever the USA version is

I'm sure the list goes on and on and on of things started here and aged by the world.

;) and if we didn't invent it we will pretend we did and put a "the" in front to prove it.

It annoys me when Yanks say "British English". No, it's just English.
