If Starmer stood aside and let Angela Rayner run, Labour would win the next GE easily imo.

The state of British politics is appalling. Truss needs to go, but she was supposedly the best the Tories had to offer, so who knows where they go from here.

Dunno, she sounds a bit common for the electorate these days.

To be fair to her, she’s done well for the torrie voters. Interest rates have risen so all those 60 year olds who have retired, paid off their mortgage and have 1000’s in savings accounts are finally getting some return.

Even large numbers of her own backbenchers are unhappy with her.
There was one anonymously quoted as saying (when discussing possible defections) "Starmer might be boring, but at least he's not mad".
Tbf, they're probably only worried about losing their seats - not about whether or not she's doing the right thing.

With the state of the Tories, they should win it with ease no matter who is in charge. But they'll find a way to **** it up <laugh>

Doesn't really matter where they go does it? They've shown they couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery!

    wow....

the twitchy coke head is out.... who is in?

I mean this won't resolve any issues and the Bank of england is pumping money in to keep peopels pensions afloat and that as due to end today.

    a) Would starmer our and rayner in work? I think rayner is good, spoke well in brexit shambles in parliament but she is a bit of an northern oik where as sarme ris another safe while male peer of the realm and in with the aristocracy etc. you might scare the tory voters with her

    b) is truss the best on offer? no she's the white person who was offered to the gammon with a non white rich guy. she's easily manipulated by the ERG. the republican lib dem turned ultra right wing brexiteer will do anything for self.

    c) will labour **** it up? of course they will, they'll admit they will do into coalition with snap and the union and that will start coming up

    d) will tory voters be happy? well no. the thought that they are all old and on big pensions with money in the bank accruing interest is dead wrong. First all those pensions are in huge issues right now. if anyone close to retirement is panicking right now. money in bank is not how anyone does anything now. they've all been hammered on investments.

Tbh it's not their organisational skills (or lack of them) that bother me - it's their motives. They cant see beyond the ideology of making more money for the already wealthy, so if they were actually better at their job we'd be even further in the mire.

    Hunt????

    ****ING HELL!!!

someone has been into trusses office and told her she is out unless she does what's told there.

Hunt supported sunak in the leadership contest after he was knocked out. he is not even close to the camp that decided truss was a good idea (the ERG types like mogg who backed jonhson as well)

Hunt is as far from truss' tory election promises as humanly possible LOL

Talk about a complete and utter bag of cats.

It's what happens when a party stay in power to long, the decent ones fall away as tge ineptitude cones to light. The half decent follow, until your left with the dregs or the recycled ****e like hunt who never seem to go away.

Probably an attempt to try and save her job. Apparently 70% of the party have no confidence in her already

She wasn't popular with the party in the first place, they wanted to sunak, the members got her in, she's ****ed it straight away though.

    Absolutely astonishing performance.
