I suppose there could be an argument that deafening music prevents you from hearing what's going on around you (obviously this is whilst driving and not parked up) and therefore increases risk. There is plenty of psychological research that shows that people often feel in a bubble, isolated from their surroundings when driving and this can lead to reduced awareness of the risks. The fact that people will express rage and insult so easily from the "safety" of their car backs this up. I'm not saying I agree with the proposal, just that there is substance to the argument.
I thought driving with loud music fines were introduced a coupe of years ago. Makes sense imo, too many people fail to move for emergency services and this is part of the problem.
Also, people don't look around themselves enough. There are many times I've been behind someone blocking traffic by driving in the wrong lane and it's obvious that they don't use their mirrors anywhere near as often as they should. Combine that with them not being able to hear any ambient noise then they can become a menace.
Same happened with my old account, logged out and couldn't get back in Now this one doesn't let me log out, just get an error message, so no way to exit and try to sign in with previous details
Exactly the same as me. I can't log out of the new one I created plus I get an email to the email address I created to set up the account every time someone posts on here. Some serious glitches need sorting out.
I think this is my third account on here... (Although by far my longest lasting.) I did create a 4th about a year ago or two ago but through help from Mito and brb I got the password to this account reset. First two accounts were from the early days when I wasn't a regular and forgot my password every time I came back. I was on the aquatics forums more than here back then and this was the diversion when bored of them instead of the other way around like it is now.
I am still on my first account, there again I am boringly sensible. I make Milner look like George Best in respect of off the field activity.

Go to your account and under privacy there is option to allow site mailings and then go to contact details and another option for similar. I think rhc had same issue and those 2 options should stop it
yeah.... its a sorry state of affairs when a dishevelled tramp and an owl's sister are in fighting and the only other option is a man with weird hair in an ill fitting shiny suit or an extra form a harry potter movie. mean while some ultra orthodox right wing religious nuts call all the shots. You'd swear it was america. its that bad.
