It may well have included them for all I know. However, it would have been much more of a trek for the Welsh to get to Liverpool than those in the surrounding farming areas of Lancashire. There's a common misconception that woollyback is a sheep-shagging reference, but historians appear to favour the explanation I gave earlier.
biscan is just trying to deflect from his male loving urges, why he will miss Brighton always thought it was other way round, scousers go to wales for holidays etc as not too far away. woolybacks to me meant surrounding areas like warrington runcorn etc.
The term dates from well before metropolitan areas were created, and Liverpool is only a small city. A dozen miles out from the city centre and you'd be in Lancashire farmland. Nowadays Merseyside covers a large area around the city and is mostly urbanised but the city itself is still relatively small, and I imagine the other boroughs would have been considered "outside" in the past. Therefore, even someone from say, Crosby, would have been thought of as a woollyback, I suppose. The Welsh would have had to cross the Wirral and both estuaries to get to town, or go through Cheshire, and that would have taken them perilously close to The Cheese.
Populated Name Bank with 500 names... Some from Football, some from not606, some from F1, some names from Cheese mythology... And put in some adjectives for fun. Testing random name generation for snails (you will be allowed to rename both first and last name for first generation snails... Surname is not editable for later generation snails to preserve their racing heritage). Here's my random name, taking a name from valid first name and taking a name randomly from last name. Let me know if you want your name adding to random name bank... Some of you already there. PS... I swear "Always Injured Gomez" was 100% random.
Igor is available as a first name. Biscan is available as a last name. That was just 40 random combinations of first and last names. There are 500 names available in the table, some first, some last, and some can be either. The vast majority of names didn't actually show up on that small sample.
Had a massive night out last night, started at 8pm and didn't get in till 10.30am today Crashed as soon as I got in and slept until 9pm
So on my lunch break did a little work on the snail game. Finished my procedure for genetically generating a snail... randomly picked first And last name... Randomly generated stats for speed, slime, climbing skills, etc... And all the physical traits that don't impact racing .. such as colour, shell pattern, moustache... Etc. The name of the first every snail created by my algorithm: Fabio Aurelio. Statistically a mediocre snail who performs best on a rubber track. He has an unpatterned purple shell (this is the 2nd rarest shell colour in the game), a red foot, and no moustache but some facial stubble. Now to generate a mate and write the algorithm for mating to take genes from both parents with occasional mutations.
