so the team have gone warm weather training in Spain. The problem with these trips is all the players are together so if one gets a bug they all get it and it wipes the team out.
Don't see the point in warm weather training when we never have any warm weather. It's just a holiday.
Not that i agree but isnt it so that they can recover mentally as well as physically. The sun and different environment
the whole poi t of warm weather training. is... training. outdoor, easy, not in full spools.. etc etc. as I said 2 or 3 sessions a day with a few naps and controlled food.
Supposedly helps with fitness levels; if you can run for an hour in high temperature, theoretically you can ran longer in more suitable conditions.
Helps with concentration too. If you can focus for an hour when the women are wearing spaghetti straps and mini skirts, you can focus for an hour when they're all fat old hags from Manchester and wearing 4 layers of clothing.
It could be **** at Ellwood and thry have to train in doors or really windy or whatever. The point is assured quslity outdoor training

I went to a dinner at Stoke's stadium a couple of years ago and they had a charity auction with the proceeds going to a local charity the club had set up some years ago. To support it, and help out with the auction, they had a table of ex Stoke players there. Our table was next to theirs and Banks was there. He was a great bloke and a replica shirt he signed on the night sold for about £3.5k
