Ahhh... I see, sorry to hear that. Who was it? Someone I know?

Nevermind... I see the pinned thread there now. I didn't really know Burly well, which probably means he was one of the good ones over there. RIP Burly.<rose>

The Burly Arms is a nice touch.

so the team have gone warm weather training in Spain. The problem with these trips is all the players are together so if one gets a bug they all get it and it wipes the team out.

Don't see the point in warm weather training when we never have any warm weather.
    It's just a holiday.

the whole poi t of warm weather training.

    is...

    training.

outdoor, easy, not in full spools.. etc etc.

as I said 2 or 3 sessions a day with a few naps and controlled food.

Surely the whole point of warm weather training is warm weather?
    They could train anywhere.

Supposedly helps with fitness levels; if you can run for an hour in high temperature, theoretically you can ran longer in more suitable conditions.

Helps with concentration too. If you can focus for an hour when the women are wearing spaghetti straps and mini skirts, you can focus for an hour when they're all fat old hags from Manchester and wearing 4 layers of clothing.

lfc website runs out of home kits to sell.

the plastics are being milked big time.

prepare to see Brian and Christian wandering about with thier kids in Pogba shirts while they wear off kits.

He was one of the few where the terms "great" & "legend" were appropriate.

That’s sad. Still think that save from Pele was overhyped. Good save but nothing more than that :bandit:

I went to a dinner at Stoke's stadium a couple of years ago and they had a charity auction with the proceeds going to a local charity the club had set up some years ago. To support it, and help out with the auction, they had a table of ex Stoke players there. Our table was next to theirs and Banks was there. He was a great bloke and a replica shirt he signed on the night sold for about £3.5k
