Anyone else had fun with o2 being down? Not with them but with sky and haven’t had any internet all day which is a bugger when needed to know train times
Is that becuase it automatically connected to public wifi though? Mob data, calling and txt has been ****ed since 4am yesterday morning. Mob data now up and running but still issues with calling and texting. I can txt but says failed my end even though they received it.
Expect more of this after Brexit ... back to scratching out messages on rocks and leaving them at the nearest landmark of geographical significance
Or having to write letters and posting the ****ers with a first class stamp I know that will confuse a lot of the lazy ****ers we have today in society
I've not had a single problem in the last ten years with o2, I'm not convinced its purely coincidental that I left o2 around that time too...
It worked while driving along in the car [I wasn't the one driving - don't text and drive]. Whattsap waze worked, texts worked, didn't call anyone so don't know about that and it's fine today. Maybe a geographical thing.
I'm with Giff-Gaff who use the O2 network. Text and data were affected. My wifi was ok therefore whatsapp worked. Calls worked. O2 stated the a third party feature had affected their data network "globally". Whether they mean that in the geographical sense or the entirety of their network I don't know.
The only thing I haven't done on my phone the past 2 days is make a call so I don't know if I had service for that or not. Everything else worked. I travelled to my son's, used whatsapp and texted, all worked - he texted me [he's o2 as well] to see if we'd got home ok and I replied.
I don't fully understand how wifi works but while travelling on the motorway I used waze, texted, watched a youtube video and checked google for roadworks. Would or should any of that be affected by whatever happened? As I said my son uses o2 as well and seeing as how all the younger generation are attached to their phones at all times, to the point where if it takes a second longer than it should for a text to go they are acutely aware, he didn't mention having any problems either.
@Mr Beej do you live in or near Liverpool? It's looking increasingly strange that we both had no problems while everyone else who's commented did.
