Am I the only one that's thinking what the **** is the fuss about transgender toilets is? Just seen an article about some council trying to just changing the wording to sex not gender on the toilets so women don't have female identifying transgender people in there. At my work the lgbt group tried to relabel the disabled toilets as for all but they then didn't as the got feedback it was a negative image. They then brought in a speaker who advised to select one toilet in entire building that's less used and label those. What's the big deal in ****ting in a locked cubicle..... I mean....
I know that there have been numerous cases of MTF transgendered individuals being beat up in mens bathrooms and no cases reported of MTF transgendered individuals causing problems in women's bathrooms. So to me it makes sense to let them use the ladies rooms as they have individual stalls. I don't think anyone really gives a damn if FTM transgendered folk use the men's room do they. FTM are at lower risk for abuse.

Been pissed off reading Grobbelaar's bullshit recollections of fighting Rhodesian rebels before becoming a goalkeeper. There's a term "caffers" which he openly used in interviews after his arrival at Anfield, I now know the word is the South African equivalent of the "N" word, he signed for us at a time when racism was rife and accepted as part of the game on the pitch and on the terraces so got away with it. He laughingly banged on about being camouflaged and hiding in the bush waiting to shoot "caffers" and spoke about black Africans in derogatory terms. I know since then he's been back to what is now Zimbabwe and worked with and trained black kids on the training ground but reading him saying how ****ed up his mind is and saying he lost count of how many black activists he killed is crass, he's obviously making money out of interviews promoting his new book, but to look for sympathy for happily killing people, nah he's a ****.
a total ****. I lost any respect for him when he as done for match fixing against us when in our goal. that was quite a long time back and since then... nah he's a right ****.
It really just comes down to urinals doesn't it? If a toilet just has cubicles then who cares? **** stinks and goes plop out of anyone's arse. Same with leisure centre changing facilities... ours has changing cubicles now so .... no issue. Even small businesses... usually only one toilet with a lock on door...so again what's the problem? Pervs are pervs no matter what they identify as. Good luck to anyone peeking over the cubicle at me post beers and kebab ...
I like to think I'm a tolerant person but this transgender, gender neutral, non-binary stuff really winds me up. If you are a MtF and feel uncomfortable in certain public situations like going to a restaurant knowing you may need to use their toilet, then dress more masculine on those occasions. There's no rules that say as a MtF you have to wear full make up, dresses and high heels all the time. If you know there's a chance you're going to be in unfamiliar surroundings, make it easier for yourself. If you have male genitals, use the male toilets.

Dunno.... Just to play devil's advocate here. If we were in Alabama in the 1960s and you said.... right you are black use the black toilets.... now... I really don't know what a transgender person thinks, we don't have any in our family or here in work so we have only the LGBT advocacy group where all of this stuff all goes into one and they give talks about it. But it would seem on some level that if someone is so set on this that it was described to us here as one support group where a lad goes once a week and can do the dress up stuff and "be herself" for 2 hours on a Friday then go home to his parents as "himself" then that person is happy for 2 hours a week.... Once they are ready to come out on this stuff which must be quite hard and they get through their immediate family and gain some acceptance.... surely its got to a point where the rest of us have to recognise some level of something here. As I said i dunno... It can't merely be a case of just make do is enough support. But then again.... on another level i start to wonder about how privileged we are to have problems like bathroom design for transgender people compared to other parts of the world. So I can understand you being wound up about it too. I simply think myself... really what harm to anyone (including my kids) if a man takes a dump in a womens toilets... like seriously, a lift is a far more dangerous situation to be in with someone that a toilets but lifts are unisex I wonder if while the concept of homosexuality is 1000s of year sold its modern acceptance hasn't even fully been completed so a flood of new terms and types just creates a bigger resistance. the rate of change of peopel wanting accpetance is too much for peopel and then resistance to all change happens?
