I would if I were still in England. Letter boxes in the US are all at the kerb seperated from the house so the postman doesn't have to get out of car.

Probably why doorstep deliveries aren't popular anymore <laugh>

We used to get the lids pecked through. The dairy started selling plastic caps to go over the bottles and very often they'd be beside the bottles and the lids still got pecked.

That was Luv coming down from the hills to steal a sip of milk. He tried to cover his crime to look like a blue tit did it.

Wouldn’t have thought luv would have needed to come down from the hills if he was up there with his sheep.

It's a day. Doesn't matter how you subdivide it, you call it a day.
Sidereal time (measured against distance stars) is different to solar time because the latter factors in our orbit around the sun. The mean solar day is what we mean when we say "a day".

A "sidereal day" would be correct but "a day" would not because that implies the time for the earth to rotate in relationship to the sun rather just itself.

Homogenization stopped all that. Interestingly, homogenization is the process whereby the fat in milk doesn't rise to form the creamy layer and the word also means making things uniform. Stop being different and drink your skimmed milk.

It's still in the milk, it's just been processed.
