I distinctly remember the washington sniper case. he caused bar more panic than dead. ok there ere 10? dead but the cummulative panic was so widespread.

It seems in vegas the guy opened a hotel window and shot down into the crowd from a distance. Had all the time i nthe world to reload from his massive supply. Probably tipped the bellboy who hauled the heavy cases up to the room too. Madness.

could you imagine if you were a bellboy who got 5 dollars form that guy?

 

Probably sell his story and make even more money off it.

 

The gun lobby chucked $30m at Trumps election campaign, don't expect that to be any time soon mate.

Sad thing is Trump probably admires the guy. He tends to get a hard-on for people who are a little brutal.

 

He's got a hard on for red necks and white supremacists, and gun toting comes with as standard with those bells, so yes I'm sure he does.

 

I hope that this guy is not some weird kind of political animal that's done this.

 

Almost certainly will be some political or religious motivation.

The ones that do it because they are depressed because they don't fit in with society or can't get laid and want attention are usually young men... Not OAPs.

Even more sickening is the NRA/Pro gun guys always say "mental illness" after these as if that absolves them.

Of course they then paid Trump to remove the even small legislation that Obama signed off banning people with a history of mental illness to buy a gun....

 

Actually NRA usually say that if everyone was armed someone could shoot the shooter.

 

Has anyone established What he was firing?

500 injured could range from crush injuries to shot. I can't believe it was only an m16 or armalite. But what else could he get to his room?

Surely not a Browning or a saw... though... a saw might well be possible in Nevada and have the magazine.

Witnesses may be exaggerating but they said about 200 shots at a time times 3 or 4 bursts.

If it was a modern light machine gun type weapon it would fire a lot of rounds in a couple of minutes. Some can fire over 750 rounds a minute.

 

Yeah but mag would run out unless on a drum type like the saw.

Whatever he had he was a freaking loon.

 

Due to gun control and illegality it's obviously not as easy/incredibly difficult in Europe, thank god, to get hold of these kind of guns, or any guns, and transport them around then use them in this kind of scenario

Read about the state laws in Nevada when looking at this story and the laissez-faire attitude is absolutely shocking
