Right all, thought I'd let you know. I'm stepping down as mod, and leaving the forum indefinitely. I've been thinking about it for a while, and recently this place has gone to ****. I regret the timing of it, straight after Dave, but I don't think its fair leaving and not telling anyone considering I'm a mod and it puts more pressure on the other mods. It's an impossible job this mod business; you can't be impartial, there's no code or set of rules to follow, everyone wants something different and you have to try and satisfy them all. Of course you can't satisfy everyone, so people will have a pop at you, you'll get wum after wum making the same old threads. Personally, if a new forum was ever made that didn't have all the other forum posters on it, but wasn't as extreme as RAWK etc.. then I'd join but I hate arguing with simpletons and as they say.... please log in to view this image I've had a great time over the past few years (yeah it's been 2 years and 2 months), and thats why its sad that I'm leaving after so long, but it's the right time for me. Right that's it, there has been one problem after another lately wumming has gone mental, people are leaving and everyone is arguing and acting like right knobs it's one drama after another so I just wanted to say that it's been fun and that I'm definitely staying.
Would this be the wrong time to say I've thought about quitting? (more to do with never getting any work done though)
The mod job sucks and if you don't want to do it then quit someone will always step in, you've been doing a good job though. It's better to go back to a regular poster other than getting so pissed off you leave which was why I stepped down.
Don't think we would need to add many as it would be back to four, but serious question...... who would jump p to take one, or who has been here long enough and on here enough to do it? Most are in and out now.
Nothing to do with being a MOD, I don't do anything different to what I did before. Obviously, I delete and/or close threads and comments etc but I don't read through everything looking for things to MOD, just do it if I come across it. It was more to do with work. Was spending too much time on here and not getting anything done. It's not so bad just lately because I've had a lot of work on (including mtgs) so not been tempted. PS...I'm not going anywhere
