I can understand why some people are leaving and even though I don't post much I have also considered just going back to browsing instead of posting, I enjoyed it a lot more and most of the time what I write on here gets ignored so the majority of the time it feels like what I do contribute is overlooked anyway (cue this being ignored you ). It's the best forum I've been on personally, plenty of banter and good, intelligent posters I just find it a bit to dramatic at times if you know what I mean.
This is what I was getting at the other day when discussing 'cliques' etc. I think people feel put out when they don't get a response, especially when they put a bit of effort into their comments. However, this is not always other posters ignoring them, but more that there is nothing to say. I take it as a compliment if no one replies
It can get a bit thespian on here, but most are good skins. I'll always reply when I see a decent post. Obviously I like a bit of fun, but if there's something to be discussed seriously, I will. I've PMd dave and asked him to reconsider for very good reasons.
Well that is kind of my point, if my posts/points are not replied to or acknowledged then I'm not really contributing to the debate because they're not decent posts which in turn defeats the point of posting on a forum. It's not really a gripe, just an observation really and it's very specific to me rather than posters leaving as a whole.

I agree with you and have complained publicly when a thread is ignored, posters need to reply to as many threads as possible even if it a short reply.
Leaving is a tad to dramatic anyway, like I said earlier, people looking to leave won't find a better forum anywhere else because here is head and shoulders above anywhere else in many regards. I'm sure most people will return when all this dies down anyhow and the forum will go back to it's nutty self.
I certainly hope so. It's getting the balance right between genuine football debate and having some fun. A good percentage of people come on here to blow off steam/relieve boredom if they're having a bummer at work. I tend to think there's a good balance between threads for genuine football debate (eg 'Coutinho Interview') and 'fun' threads (eg 'Getting paid to'), so you go on one or the other dependent what you want out of it. Or you create your own thread, as I did ('Members Leaving'). If you don't get much response, then you've still said your piece. Look at luvgonzo. It happens to nearly every one of his posts, but he still carries on regardless
I think you'll find my threads have become quite popular recently all the 0 reply threads were a long time ago. Bunch of bastards.
