You deffo cant enter a 100m race? Cant enter x factor or enjoy the marvellous "colour" that louis is going to bring... i wish i was deaf next week as the missus forces this **** upon our house.
A wheelchair user may lead a comfortable life without assistance but that is not the point of their arguement it is due to the view within some of the signing community that theres is a language problem not an impairment one The term disabled / disability has not got the same meaning to "political" impaired people as the able bodied society views it. The Social model of disability differentiates between impairment and disability i.e a paraplegic impairment means they use a wheelchair but that is not what disables them it is the fact that society will not make provision for that difference. anyway i'm pissed and watching the Ryder cup disappear so i leave it there as it starts to get a) complicated b ) controversial
Light travels faster than sound. You can see when pistol fires., . See... there are even advantages to being deaf. prob depends if you were born deaf if so... yeah xfactor is probably out.
The missus has taken to the internet matth style to rant over the pure ****e that is the xfactor. She is that angry i am going to wum the **** out of her.
Then (for running) you have an advantage. Blades are more efficient for running than the natural human leg. One odd thing I noticed out kayaking yesterday (and yes, I saw another refrigerator) was, I noticed I can paddle backwards a lot quicker and less tiring. (Shouldn't really be a surprise because a lot of rowers sit backwards for that reason). Couldn't really go far backwards because river I was on yesterday was at the fall line so lots of subaquatic rocks to dodge. I need to set up a go-pro on my stern, and buy a pair of video goggles attached to it so I can paddle backwards.
I could'nt tell you but the core point is deaf people do have a disability that while mild still precludes them form a lot of things and frankly in the modern world of virtual meetings and stuff they do have a bit of an issue. just cos they like the idea of excluding themselves or some of them do is no reason not to claim the goodies
Tyson fury now deluded and following the turmp game plan http://www.bbc.com/sport/boxing/37542160 he's retired... no he never failed a test or got title stripped, he merely retired at the top... what a moron. Kiltsko should sue him for breach of contract and put him in the poor house and fight AJ for the titles.
the guy faked an nakle injury by getting someone to dance on it to get a photo after failing a test now fails another after faking mental issues.. he's been dodging this fight and why? theres MASSIVE money for it. just ****ing train as much as you can, get through by grappling and hand back the belts with a cheque in your arse pocket! no... you are too far up your own hole. I can see him broke and on the street in a few years.
Certainly it's a disadvantage. Morbidly obese people couldn't run a 100m successfully or compete on x factor either. Are they disabled? In fact there's probably more things a deaf person can do that an obese person couldn't. Gerrez couldn't even survive a trip to the loo. Obviously, I'm playing devil's advocate here. Deaf people are disabled by the definition of the word. However, I do understand why some of them may feel they shouldn't be categorized as such. They probably have more chance at a free non assisted happy life than someone who is obese, disfigured, non native speaking, stupid, extreme OCD or ADD, alcoholics, suffering from various chronic diseases: Many people who aren't considered disabled. I would never want to be deaf but there are worse things to be.
milk fat ****s do get disability here......I know they shouldn't but they do! i guess the point is when people are handing you something and you are being ungrateful you deserve a slap. be gracious about it.
